I like looks of the e-trans on the outside. The digital instrument cluster is great, but the other screen looks a little out dated to me and I’m not crazy about using a screen for the climate controls. I think knobs and buttons still work better. That big 107 kw battery makes it a true luxury EV as it delivers the range most of us want. It’s more money than I’d spend on a car, but if that’s not a concern this seems like a great car.

Remember when Acura integrated dual screen, and all the car reviewers were bitching about it, you don’t hear them complaining when it comes to Audi🤔

I've become numb to manufacturers' giant obnoxious grilles, so I have no feelings towards this strange new Audi grille. Great car though. Awesome review (as always).

Fire review! I feel like Audi is falling behind benz and bmw with their designs. Regular Q8 is much better looking!

Just wondering…… in June 23 there were approximately 280,000,000 cars registered in the US, and around 2,000,000 were EVs. This is about 1 EV for every 140 gas powered cars. So only 0.7% cars on the road are EVs. In many parts of the US an EV is a oddity and rarely seen. Why is there so much time and information given about EVs when they are still many decades from being even slightly mainstream?

Exactly. That itself makes EVs redundant.

Love it. Not ready for EV yet, but if I were, it would be an eTon.(let's see a drive of the eTron GT Please?). Looks like Audi is wanting to throw in some perks to sell cars. Wish more brands would sweeten the pot that way. (Even for us "Po' folks" driving ICE Audis, my local dealer threw in some niceties, like extending the warranty). Thanks KBB.

This is not an objective review. Its more of a sales pitch paid by Audi. Did Audi pay for this?
@inspector4133
@inspector4133 Жыл бұрын
@@jjohur I'm not sure ANY KZbin reviewer (outside of maybe Consumer Reports, who actually buy their own test vehicles) can be totally unbiased anymore. All of the test vehicles are supplied by the manufacturers, and I'm sure that plays into the mindset of the reviewers. You still need to drive and evaluate the car on your own, but at least it gives you a starting point to work from, to see if it's a car you might want to consider. JMO.

I have a 2023 e-Tron, and this looks like a great improvement. I only get around 224 miles on a full charge. THE REFRESHED e-Tron Q8 really makes me regret my purchase. No more Audis for me.

Audi on demand (Car rental by audi) does not rent an RS3 or any of the performance models. Typically you get the base model for rental from each model range. FYI

Initially I was excited for the Q8 but now I’m sticking with the Lyriq. I have a prestige Sportback on order but at $94k, I agree, there’s just not enough return for me to be happy with my purchase.

Okay am I the only one that thinks that the "shelf" on dash below the 2 center air vents and above the glove box looks like it's covered in dust or has severe water damage.... Like the design in this lighting and these camera shots just looks really bad .😬 Everything else looks great though!

I’ve had an E Tron since 2019. I completely disagree with you about the center console. In practice. It is completely not user-friendly. Also, currently the leases on these things are unbelievably outrageous. I was just quoted almost $2200 for a 36 month lease. Good luck selling these for that price.

Traditional OEM’s need to figure out software and have their EV’s separately designed from their ICE. The Audi MMI is dated and I’ve read horror stories of their charging issues and software update problems. As a previous Audi and Porsche owner who has paid thousands in repairs I have no desire to return to that endless repair/maintenance model.

I’m from Mt and I wouldn’t recommend an EV. It’s like 12hrs mountainous roads from East to West with almost No EV infrastructure.

If you actually listen to her, she was saying it wouldn’t work because the limited infrastructure in MT. Audi in Bozeman, Montana would have a hard time making a case for these! Never mind the normal -40 degrees or 115+ seasonal temps swings too..

Isn't the whole point of buying a luxury car about avoiding plastics? Still not convinced EVs are the answer.

If you need an ICE vehicle to go on a road trip, something quite common in many nations, what's the point of EVs?

Love the Q8 but I think this e-tron model is a joke. What was the point in changing the shifter when almost everything else stays the same as the gas model 😂.
@Brian-jv8iy
@Brian-jv8iy Жыл бұрын
Surprised you love the Q8 so much and don’t see this doesn’t share a single panel or exterior part or barely a thing on the inside with the Q8. They havent changed the shifter, this isnt a Q8, its a 5 year old car, only got the Q8 moniker now because of marketing reasons.

cars with less than 300 mile range should not cost more than 30k$. IDGAF if you are a "luxury" brand, your range is not luxurious at all. 75k and you dont even get ventilated seats? Anyone who buys this garbage is tweakin.
