I'm from Darjeeling & own a Dominar 400 2017 model. As such I've ridden it to Mustang in Nepal in 2017, all the southern states in 2018 & all the 7 North Eastern states in 2019. This year(2022) I drove it to Nathula pass & northern most places in Sikkim. Till date I've clocked 27000 + k.m. in the odo & I'm fortunate & lucky that in all the above trips I never encountered major issues with this fantastic machine plus the service network of Bajaj is helpful all over the country. Thank you for the update of the 2023 model !

There are two more updates that bajaj has modified in 2023 Dominar 1 - Chain sprocket is now 35 teeths 2 - Silencer gaurd if you check there as new cover in front of the silencer.

Till now Dominar has the most aggressive look in heavy bike segment and the power is really good compared to it's weight. This bike can really go a lot faster if Bajaj focuses on its weight reduction and much more customization. The sounds are really great because it completely sounds like classic Bajaj. That's why it is my all time favorite bike, no matter how powerful KTM, Apache, BMW, etc are but dominar will have a special place in my heart😉.

NO they should not reduce the weight(may be 2 3 kg, max 5). I think because of weight its very stable, high speed gives you confidence, you can cruise easily on high speeds. You can just give full throttle and bike doesnt give wheelies as in duke 390. So good even for beginners.

I had a dominar 400 2019 Abs model which I had to sell with a heavy heart. I had only two issues with this bike, one its quite heavy so at age 50 plus it seems a bit too much. Secondly I found the turning circumference a bit too stiff that it took a bigger round to turn around especially in City traffic. Comments please

I think its feels heavy because of its seating height. Turning radius is a issue but its not something you cant manage. But i'm just wondering why you would consider dominar 400 at age of 50. Do you like to go fast?

I own an apache rtr 200...clocked 46k kms in 1.5 years...now if im looking for an upgrade which bike will u suggest...my choices are highness,yezdi roadster,dominar,himalayan...pillion comfort should be good.I mostly use the bike for long daily rides...i cruise on rtr @80 kmph comfortably.

Pillion confort should be good - RE. dont look for someone else. Also you said looking for upgrade or just change. Choices you mentioned sounds like change rather than upgrade. If you looking for upgrade then versys 650. I think nobody should think of going above 650cc in India.

Hey Nitish, as an owner, can you tell me if it is a good bike at 2.8 lakhs on road? I’ve seen all the reviews, ownership experiences and opinions. The vibration people mention, is it real? Or is it just part of the nature of a combustion engine? There are more refined engines no doubt but is there something specifically not upto the mark with the D400? I’m looking to purchase my first bike, been driving only scooties for a long time. Fine with weight but will the engine last 5,8 years down the line if I maintain it well with proper servicing, chain cleaning, lubing and overall I’m a very sedated rider. I don’t intend on abusing the bike at all with a crazy throttle or what not. Would appreciate if can say anything. Thanks!

What I think, if u live in the city and do touring not so frequently then D250 makes more sense. Because fuel efficiency also takes a hit in D400. But if have money then go for D400 because it has a gear position indicator, wider tires, pre installed some accessories. If D250 has these, I will go for it but it only available in D400. It is just my frank opinion.
