Evo Wins hands down for my needs. The richest detail retention in the photos, best film quality, widest aperture.

Kodak beats them all by far, the features it offers are way above its price, and it can be used for many different purposes thanks to its photo paper. Yes, instax mini evo is really successful for small souvenir photos, but considering both its own price and the price of the papers it uses for printing, Kodak is much ahead of it in terms of price performance success. Regardless of the topic, I would like to own both of them, they have nice uses in their own way.

I have the Instax wide printer. I've had success cutting the borders without issue. In fact, I've printed multiple photos on one and cut them up for journals without any issues. The back of the film fuses with the front image and does not separate.

EX-CEL-LENT demo and details shown, thank you very much. I'm on Selphy for now, Kodak Mini just made the top of my portable-perhaps-list because 11:22. They are also slightly cheaper per print than instax (current northern EU prices). Ivy and HP sprocket ZINK are priced similarly so that's not really relevant considering smaller size and low quality. Same for the otherwise neat dye-sub Canon QX10 (68x68 mm stickers.

I will warn you, it might be convenient but it’s definitely not more affordable for the instax printers, the mini film costs about $1 for each photo which is pretty pricey over time

Actually when I see the water test, make me more confirming my choice of Canon Ivy because the colour fading effect actually good for making journal printing images and add hand drawing before printing or after printing 😊 the sticker back is also perfect for this use

the problem with kodak is when you need to replace the ink cartridge when it's empty thats why instax films are expensive and kodak films are less expensive

Hello guys, I cannot decide between getting Mini Evo vs Link 2. I like the option with Evo that I can take photos but I want to use it as a printer as well because I am also taking photos using S22 Ultra. The only thing that I am not sure about is the Mini Evo photo on the video looks less crispy around the edges compared to Link 2. Is that really true that photo is loosing a little bit of quality or is that something that only looks like it because of the video angle?

link 2 can only use like a printer, it's the difference between this devices. For print from phone better choice is Link Wide - he have biggest size and quality.

Thanks! 😊 the checkerboard pattern I made myself using stickers. It's a black & white kodak camera, I cut small black & white square stickers and decorate it one by one to make the checkboard pattern. 😁

I like the thought, but when you consider the initial purchase price of the printers and continually having to buy film, paper, and ink, the cost gets away from being practical very quick. Alternatively, my local Walmart only charges $0.14 for a 4 x 6 print. And they can do it within an hour. All I have to do is upload my photos to the website and then drive down the street to pick them up. The only advantage this could have is if I wanted to print out photos instantaneously at an event where people could not get a hold of me later on. But even then it would hardly be worth the investment.
