I have this BMW and you can tell (hear) something wrong in the 2nd run. Its not rewing. Seems to shift gear half way. This is how my car sounds when I am not flooring it and dont get the boost. You then have 40 hp less.

Strange, because the car was in sportmode (Xtraboost) and the driver did definitely floor it. The engine can't be cold either because we drove the car like 50 km to the airport and did the first run before. But I agree, it shifts way too early in my opinion. 🤷‍♂

@@edrivesweden This car does 1/4 mile in approx 14 sec and is supprisingly fast to 160. After that it needs more power I feel. You can see its slower in the 2nd run for some reason. Did you have the shifter in S (sport to the left)? Did it have enough power on the battery to boost? The first run seems ok👍

@@14Tommere I see! No, the gearbox was not i S, but it wasn't on the first runt either. Battery was around 80%!. The car was almost brand new and only been driven 300 km, maybe the power got restricted.🤷‍♂ I'm gonna check the footage better next time! :)

@@edrivesweden if you want t use the launch function the gear must stand in S. It also boost in all drive modes if the gear is in S. With the gear in S the car also becomes more aggressive in the shifts etc. But the strange thing here is that you did the same both times. 80% battery should be plenty and the first run it seems to peform as it should. Brand new car usually perform a bit less👍

@@edrivesweden In my BMW F30 when I push the gear to the left ( in Britain) in S position, the car changes hugely because the gear shift is changed. How did you race without that?!

Faulty review since you did not put the BMW in S mode shifting. Should delete this video and re-create it.

Therefore the BMW is equipped with the 8-gear M geardrive, and not, like the Mercedes, with a standard automatic geardrive. So, keep calm, BMW will be second every time as it was the last 20 years. 😂😂😂

@@zerootw0felix944 Sport mode in the 330e doesn’t make it faster, it just keeps the ICE engine on at all times for better throttle response. If you step on the gas in hybrid mode it will engage the petrol engine and give full power anyways. Source: we own one.

I have Bmw 330e it was shifting early because it was in D not S mode. You should try Sport extraboost gearbox on S and Dynamic Traction control.

I drove both extensively, and I think that in a straight line the Mercedes is slightly faster. BMW handles way better though.

First run show the Bmw with full power, 2nd run is with limited power obviously.. Bmw allways been the faster car ahile merc is probably the comfyer ride most of the time. Pros and cons.

​@@Cars_with_maxwell in the winter with Swedish nordic tires I take 4wd any day of the week, in the summer with summer tires you might be correct, we have the c300e and in the summer it doesn't need 4wd because of the weight and lack of enormous power it has the grip but in the winter even with a dry surface it struggles for traction at launch
