I’ve owned this bike since it first came out (2020) and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I daily my bike and literally use it for everything, fun weekend rides in the twisties, work day commutes and grocery shopping, and even multi-day long distance touring/moto camping. To me, it’s gotta be the best bike in the category if you truly are looking for a do-it-all one bike in the garage option because of the tech and comfort features you can option out and the limitless useable accessories from BMW’s own catalog. There are other fantastic do-it-all options in the category, but what the Beemer offers over its competitors is factory option side cases, I have an alarm system which operates with my key fob, cruise control, and even cornering lights. In the full-size class those features are much more common, but I love that you can pick up a flickable, easy to maneuver middleweight with most of the options typically only reserved for higher end bikes. For reference, this is only my second bike and I traded up from a Ninja 650. Was looking for something with a bit more power but didn’t quite have the confidence in my skills to immediately jump up to a liter bike or something with 120+ hp. Power is VERY linear and manageable and there are never any sudden surges in power like a 600 super sport might provide, but if you don’t take your bike to the track, it’s absolutely all the power you’d need for the streets in my opinion. As a point of reference, I hardly ever race cars from the light, but just last week I accidentally raced this C8 Corvette and up to around 75 we were literally neck to neck until I figured I didn’t want to die or get a ticket and rolled off the throttle. But for something that isn’t even the most powerful in the class, that’s pretty damn good in my bike. As a potential first bike option, I’d only ever recommend it to someone more mature and who doesn’t have the ego of a male teenager. Shoot, even my previous Ninja650 was able to wheelie from the stoplight. I lifted the front wheel by accident when I was still learning to ride and it scared the shit out of me 😅

Thanks for your review. Are you still riding it and how has maintenance on it been?

If you press the suspension button 2 times you can change it on the fly. You don't have to stop

You must have got the lowered seat, the stock one is 815mm (32 inches). Also, you can get a phone cradle that fits in that nav carrier and includes a charging cord, for less than 50 bucks.

I've taken my GF for long rides 1-2 hours on my CB650R. I'm sure taking a passenger on that bike would be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the nicely made review. I like your calm way of speaking. You definitely earn more viewers. Just one remark: you mentioned several times the price/entry price of the F900R, I don't know how it's in the U.S. but here it's only the starting price and when you like to get all the fancy tech stuff like electronic adjustable suspenion or more riding modes, you have to pay a premium. greetings from Germany

I test rode one, I hated it, the gear box was soo clunky, quick shifter decided when it wanted to work or not, the gear changes you had to stamp on the thing to get it into gear. Also you can't get a nice aftermarket exhaust from factory and options on this bike are very limited, a massive no from me

most GS are parrallet twin; only a few with boxer 1250, 800R had one; very nice and not hot like my 750gs with heat pouring out. but Why the 900R vs others ?. specs similar ? upright and good leg position for your height. ? why not say why you chose this over ???

graet review but this vs the XR ? about same price. 2 up riding review ? seat height and upright sitting vs. the XR. YES fierce competition . can you add cruze control ? ?

That bike looks fun to ride. Is worth it compared to GS 850 ?

I wouldn’t compare the f900r parallel twin to the smooth and powerful inline 4 in the retro Kawasaki Z900rs .

Thank you for amazing video. Is the parallel twin engine in all f900r incl 2022? Or it comes only in 2023?

From 2020, on every F900R.

I agree about the navigation attachment thing. This is a naked sports bike, not an adventure bike. BMW are missing their target audience with things like that. How much does that unit cost? And I have to pay for all the wiring and brackets for this massive ugly thing that I will remove immediately? I would probably make the shop remove it before I even pick up the bike because it's just an eyesore.

Or get the Kawasaki z900 122 hp inline 4 , it will whoop up on the f900r.
@Abensberg7 күн бұрын
yeah but it got almost nothing else.

at 9000 dolars is bald, all the options you specified in this video gets you to 13.000 just so you know and for that money you can have much more bike for the money.

Just spend the extra money and get the s1000r
