i have a previous gen escalade esv premium with the bench 2nd row seat and i loved it so much, one of my most fav vehicles to drive. i loved the passenger space, the comfort, the cargo room, and towing ability. and of course, the presence. the engine in mine is giving out and there is a LOT of rust under the hood that is a bit alarming (182k miles, northeastern winters) and i would love to upgrade to a newer escalade esv sport with everything blacked out. its next to impossible to find 2nd row bench seat in these suvs these days. i wonder what the differences between sport and sport platinum are.

I would love for Cadillac to make an upgrade to the infotainment screen, I feel like it needs to be stretching a little more or make it just like the Lincoln Nautilus does with their dashboard, because for me a car such like that Escalade, for this kind amount of money the dash needs to be more futuristic and a little more upgrades throughout the interior design

I know because my mother in law owned a newer modeled Escalade. Lastly the same specs in the Escalade I can get in the Yukon Denali at a better price point. Goodluck shopping bro!

Its abit of a money trap. My dealer recommended me to go for the sport as from the outside there is no difference. Basically the SP will unlock some things you cant get in the sport (like cat back exhaust, rear infotainment, fridge in the console, brembo brakes. It comes standard with nicer seats (full leather), and it has the alcantara headliner, instead of the ugly GMy one. I think it’s also some minor details on the interior. It will have a lot of the things you can option out on the sport as default. Saying this as someone who took the SP, you’re basically paying 4-5 k for a nicer interior+seats and the ability to have a fridge and rear infotainment that you have to pay extra for haha. If you dont care about having the nicest shit, go with the sport and go for a vacation with the wife.

Pretty bold of the dealership to plainly state they add $15,000. It’s very unusual for my area to pay anything over MSRP. Typically there are incentives that reduce the price to below MSRP and additional dealership promos such as lifetime oil changes. I’m not impressed with no 3rd row sunroof and second row air conditioned seats at that price point. Should have that in addition to massage seats in both front and rear seats.

Dealer told me the main difference was the Sport Platinum has a blacked out trim/emblems. That is why they are the same starting price. It would be like comparing a red car to a blue one.

As escalade fan, sorry to say that navigator and grand wagoneer interior are way more luxury. I can see here inside the escalade not much of wood and too much of plastic, even the leather are not premium, i dont think its cow or horse leather. The escalade only wins in exterior design for sure.

What is going on with that wood inlay...awful! Honestly, it might be time to put this out to pasture. Not to mention they are basically the same vehicles with cheap materials. If they want to keep the Escalade this is the answer. Escalade X for crossover. Upgrade all the materials, offer 2 seater with heated / cooled seats. Put metal and material finishes, increase hp, standard air suspension , power running boards, power shades in the rear etc. 👎🏽 for both vehicles
