I find roads on Google Maps. The primary route through Carrizo Plain is Soda Lake Road, which can be navigated with any type of vehicle. However, there are numerous dirt roads that traverse the ridges, and some may be uneven or have deep holes. If you intend to drive on these dirt roads at higher elevations, I suggest using a vehicle with higher clearance. The roads I was on are Elkhorn road and Soda Lake Road where many flower fields are😊

@@naomipenguzman I used a 4runner, which is 4x4, but I don't think you need a 4x4 to have a tour. Most roads are good enough for regular vehicles. Just use common sense not to go through rough terian😉

Just south of Traver Ranch, there is a side road that is easy to find. Simply follow the trail of wildflowers, and you'll come across wildflower fields. It's not uncommon to see people camping on Caliente Ridge. The location must be a special place for those who visit

I took South enterance from Highway 166. The northern entrance from Highway 58 was blocked when I was there. Check before your visit 😊

The best wildflower display will happen at the corner of 58 highway and seven-mile road. The entire hill turns yellow and purple in spring. Caliente ridge is another area you might want to check out, but you may need a high-clearance vehicle😊

This is a remote area, no wifi, no phone signals😑 You can see people live in the area, but no gas station or stores. Just be cautious not to drive deep into the mountains, then you will be OK

Please stay on designated paths when enjoying the wildflowers. When you step on them, you create dead spots for the bloom the following year.
