Hey have you encountered any issues, what are the things you like and disklike about the bike? Any problems with clunky shifting?
@SigmaJAD Жыл бұрын
Great review. I had a 790 Duke. I had a CFMoto 700 CLX Sport too. Both commuter second bikes. The CF? Hell way better quality than that 790. This is a manufacturer that is going to gain respect. The rest of the world - watch out
@oversteer_9339 Жыл бұрын
Oh for real? Interesting. I really love the 790. If this is better, thats great news coz ktm maintenance and parts aint cheap right 😂
@AdeptusAmogus Жыл бұрын
@@oversteer_9339 the 800NK uses the exact same engine as the 790, just tuned with less top end to retain reliability. Almost all CFMoto bikes have less power than their in class competition because they tune them to be more reliable, rather than go the raw power route. Its why KTM had so many issues for years.
@zergothikaify Жыл бұрын
Same. Was looking at a used 790 but had qualms on leaking gasket issues and all.
@SigmaJAD Жыл бұрын
@zergothikaify Hi, nothing leaked, but the bike felt cheaply made and (I know there's plastic on all bikes) plasticy. Stickers were coming off too, again cheap. Plus they do lots of end of year discounts. I fell foul when I traded in for better quality. Bit of rust inside filler cap too.

This will be a great bike. In Europe the biggest problems for sales will be buyers worrying about depreciation, getting spare parts and then theres the new honda hornet which is very similar but that honda badge will mean a great dealer network and reliability. The display looks insane, so much so that id worry about something thinking its an ipad and trying to steal it when im not with the bike.

+1 I simply need a Base plate for a bag and that's an option on Honda but not available on CF moto

When it come to CF Moto, they are certainly building a name for themselves. I feel that Chinese motorcycles from both CF Moto and QJ Motors, have a very unique opportunity, that bikes from Japan and Europe don't have. The dealer networks are not very widespread, but that can be to their advantage. If CF Moto shipped their bikes direct to buyers and then provided outlets for parts, along with comprehensive, service manuals along with "how to" videos, then setting up dealerships would not be needed and they could keep the cost down. They could offer showrooms in strip malls or in small store fronts in city centers. There are many riders that I know that can and enjoy doing their own wrenching, and most of the manufactures want you to go to their dealers only. This would certainly bring experienced riders and independent mechanics into the fold.

Great bike but, it's a missed opportunity for cfmoto to not add that traction control. Still a great bike though
@9LB.hammer Жыл бұрын
I own one. I was a bit skeptical at first but I think the longer wheelbase makes up for its lack of traction control. It's incredibly stable and the cornering abs works like a charm. I still wonder tho since they were able to put TC on the 450sr/nk.

@@9LB.hammerhow's the reliability on it so far? Thinking bout getting this or the gsx8
@9LB.hammer10 ай бұрын
@@imjustahuman6992 imo, can't go wrong with both. Tested all the middleweight nakeds available where I live and ended up with the 800nk due to; 1. More power out of the box(the 8s felt like it need a remap specially at the higher revs) 2. Price, Gsx8s is $2k+ higher 2. For me it looks better(I like the side angle of the 8s more tho) 3. Suzuki dealership is farther than CFmoto in my area 4. Although others are skeptical about the tablet on the advanced version, it was a huge + for me because I don't have to buy quad lock since screen mirroring/carplay is possible, together with the voice command, I could literally call, change music, show riding stats in a single push of a button while riding. As for reliability, I've only ridden it for 4.6k kms, only use it on the weekends or whenever I have time for riding which isn't a lot, whenever I do tho, I ride it very very hard specially on open freeways, had times where I'm upshifting on a speed run and went straight to neutral which cause the engine to rev so high. I'm confident on riding it hard and really want to show issues as early as now since it's still under warranty. Longest I did without stopping was around 150kms(needed to stop to refuel) red lining it every gear no problem. I had it decatted without a remap (did a research that the ECU will adjust the AFR and remap isn't needed as long as I don't change the air filter to hi-flow) No check engines, no performance drop, and no issues so far. If you ask me to nitpick, the engine runs hotter than my previous bikes or maybe I'm just paranoid because the gauge isn't in bars but in actual celsius. Hope this helps.
