Charles Wright is a rough and ready rider but he sure rode well in the final, such a shame for Bomber Harris who was uncharacteristically making starts. Ben Cook is a star in the making such a good young talent.

Great coverage, but how the hell did Charles Wright get away without being excluded in the first running of the final? He reared up, was out of control and wiped out Danny King. Surely Wright was the cause of the stoppage, and should therefore have been excluded? The fact he then went on to win the Final, really is a total injustice in my opinion.

As I recall the ref said afterwards that with it being the final, he was minded to allow all 4 back to give fans a final with 4 riders.
