I choke up just seeing someone who serves in the military. My dad served 2 tours in Vietnam as a Sgt. I was four when he came home & did his last year of service in NC. I’ve been a Vet supporter all my life. Our military is America’s REAL elite 1%! God Bless you Eli!!

Good to see Smoke along for a ride. My neighbors spent the day cutting beans across the road from my house today. The 18 year old (or so) spent the day running the auger wagon for two combines and three semis. The last 2 or 3 hours his 3 or 4 year old sister rode in the jump seat. I could tell from my driveway that she really enjoyed riding with big brother.

I was thinking the other day why this channel only has 42.100 subs and Millennium Farmer has over a million. This farm has state of the art hardware, lots of people filming, competent editing. MF is a small family farm with two dogs, but he uses humor quite a bit and he speaks easy to understand english. Personal charm is a difficult thing.

Semper Fi ELI. It feels like I should be offering more than that, I know the ins and outs of the Marine Corps, having spent 26 years as both enlisted, and an officer-aviator. Both as a reservist, and on active duty. I guided in ordinance from the ground, and dropped it from the air. Here is what I will say, if you don’t go all the way on active duty, don’t let the sacrifices you have made slip away. The National Guard and Air Guard love Marines who just finished active duty. You save them a ton on their unit budget for training. Their is nothing they can put you through that is close to Marine Corps Bootcamp, you will not have to go to any other branches basic training. I know you are 10 feet tall and bullet proof right now, and destined to make many millions in your own mind. But you will get old one day, and the benefits and pay will prove invaluable. You are a Marine, you’ll always be a Marine. It’s like having herpes, once you catch it, you can’t give it back. If you go home for whatever reason, once your contract is up, hop in to a guard unit until you hit your 20. You will still be a Marine 1st and foremost. My wife has ALS, and the freedom I have in negotiations with my off farm job as an airline pilot only exist because I know I have an amazing retirement and benefits package waiting for me from the military. I can make demands and get them, and if I don’t, I’ll still be ok. You don’t know what life will throw your way down the road. This advice is right up there with someone going back in time and telling their younger self to buy a Amazon stock. Please don’t blow it off.
