The Ferrari is at a disadvantage. Not only is it old, but it is driven by an Oriental, which by nature are slow drivers. As for the Lambo driver, I think a pink beetle would suit him better. The Corvette on the other hand was ‘stimulated’ to perform better by the female driver.😂

But end of the day you are still paying 200k for a Chevy poor man sports car which isn't cheap anymore compare to European. Not really, Corvettes & Porsches have always just about dominated way above their rivals . The C6 just about destroyed European brands. The Z06 laid an epic lap at Laguna SECA back in 2012 it was so fast that motor-trend didn’t even bother to run the ZR1 until 2015 when the Viper GTS came out, the C6 ZR1 went and just about set the world on fire, the viper never recovered, they couldn’t even give them away. They shut down production.

all of the C8 versions have been designed, developed and fully tested prior to any production and with the 'prototype' - first pre-production, camouflage vehicles through extensive testing prior to the first released for production Stingray for 2020 model year, and the C8-R for Corvette Racing. This Z06/7 version is the closest to the C8-R, N/A used by Corvette Racing in IMSA, GT, LeMans -winning overall 1st/2nd with its debut in 2020, then repeat win in 2021 -> the classes changed for 2022, but still very competitive, though split between two within IMSA + FIA - LeMans. The ZR1 is the next version with this same 5.5 L, flat-plane crank, DOHC engine, DCT, trans-axle w/ TT The Zora is the version afterward with additional front wheel electric motors. Also a GS version will be produced too, and apparently a fully electric motor version afterwards ->as other major manufactures are producing with performance vehicles in Europe and USA - seemingly Japan too - This is Global/Elite cooperation, direction, dictation, control. Makes sense it’s a 13 year old 458 and the huracan is probably the slowest straight line supercar you can still buy. All the new ones like f8, sf90 and any mclaren are running low 10’s if not mid low 9’s. Even the 488 from 2015 has ran a 10.3 stock. I’m sure the z06 will do that in ideal conditions too but it’s a good 7 years behind in performance. Of course it’s still an amazing car and quick enough for anyone on the road, and sounds better than any car except for lambos

Well GM benchmarks the 458 for the sound and its rawness, not speed. Also, the 488 runs about the same quarter mile as the vette.

They spent an enormous amount of time and money tuning this particular exhaust gir both performance and sound. More than any other manufacturer has that I know of. In this particular case, any aftermarket company is going to have a hard time matching it.

I will say I have listened to many KZbin videos and the Z06 sounds definately unique. Its the combination of the twin overhead am motor and flat plane crank more than any exhaust system. It sounds more like a race car engine now. No Corvette except the 89 ZR1 which had a Lotus designed over cam top end ever had either one of these.

The C8 is great but don't get too excited. Those to WOP cars were not close to latest and greatest to come out of Italy. One is a decade old and the other bloated and not the fastest Lambo. Try racing against Europe's best from 2022 and you should come back down to earth.
