Thank you for the brilliant coverage! And thanks also for having Rachel as commentator - she's so eloquent, knowledgable and upbeat.

History is rife with athletes who transcend their chosen sport and become symbols of something bigger. After seeing Kristin Tattar wins the 2023 European Championship in her own country I can truly say she has transcended her sport in disc golf. Hope to see Kristin and her fellow Euro disc golfers at World and beyond.

What an ending! Kristin kept battling the way that only the greats can. The decision to go for the long eagle shot on 18 was an all time moment in disc golf in my opinion. Incredible. Much respect to Silva, she just kept fighting and never gave up. To push this to the last hole is just incredible on her part. What a competitor.

Wow, I almost didn't watch this round because of the big lead coming into it but I'm really glad I did! That was a great finish.

Whew... well after that finish I realize just why Kristin seemed so off. There was a lot of emotion boiling under that calm exterior. Honestly, I'm not surprised. I have felt this from her before. But this, this was more. She did it. She accomplished the Grand Slam of disc golf. I don't think that has ever been done before. Silva is an amazing disc golfer, I expect great things from her. I sure hope she can come to Worlds, I bet she would be on the podium.

Care to elaborate? I mean why was she this emotional? Also, doesn't Grand Slam mean winning all majors during one season while EC isn't even a major? That being said, I'm glad for Kristin and anything but a win would've been a travesty after the three rounds she put in. Just hoping she's fit for Worlds.

@@jannejaakkola5836 Following Kristin for the last few years I have noticed that she is an emotional person. She hides it but its there. She said before this tournament that this win was especially important to her. Not only because it was the European championship, but also because it was being held in her country for the first time.

Why she was off is the nagging elbow injury
@jannejaakkola5836 Жыл бұрын
@@jussi7395 From what I've heard, that same thing has been nagging throughout the season and this one was no different. Can't find the source though, so I could be wrong.

Seems she is injured, left ellbow taped?

IT seems like yes. lets hope it is nothing to bad and she can finish the season and then get a well-worth rest.

The score didn't reflect how well Kristen still played. A few bad kicks adding penalty strokes is all it was and a few soft puts that were still pretty much on line. Silva played another great tournament. She has what it takes to be a repeat champion some day as well.
