Wow, what a difference a leveling kit and some tires did to this truck! Let me know what you think!

Your truck, with the 2" leveling kit, looks great! Keep in mind, these trucks are not symmetrical from front to rear. The distance from the ground to the inside fender on the front has nothing to do with that of the rear. Equalizing and leveling are two different things. Most guys these days are only interested in equalization, as they hyper focus on that measurement. A leveled truck will not measure the same front to back. An equalized truck will, and an equalized truck will result in a squatted truck, and that just functions worse and, in my opinion, looks worse than a raked truck.

100% agree.

Perfect truck! I just purchased the same truck in avalanche grey. I was planning on running a 2" level on 295/65/20s but you just sold me. Just to confirm, you're running a 2" puck style level, 35/12.50/20s and a 1/4" RC spacer to clear the upper controls, and a tire re alignment I'm assuming? Thanks in advance

Useful vid. Thanks for sharing. What size tires came with the Platinum originally? If the Tremor comes with 33's, I'm thinking the Platinum's are smaller but I don't know. And can you fit the larger 35 spare under the rear of the bed in the normal spare place? If not, what did you do with it? Oh, and do you know, if I wanted to swap out and get 17 or 18 wheels instead of the 20's, can that be done, and done without changing the brakes? If so, could I do that thru Discount Tire too? I'd really love 35 tires on either 17 or 18 wheels. I have some flexibility with the width, though I'd love to get narrower, like 9's or 10's, even 11's, instead of the 12.5's. Thanks.
@seanforney2413 күн бұрын
They are close to 33s factory. You should be able to go down to a smaller rim. The Raptors have 18s, so should be good. A narrower tire will also give a little more flexibility. 10s I believe are perfect, 12.50s just fill it out and make it look stout.

@@seanforney24 Are you able to fit the 35's you upgraded to in the same space for the spare tire under the rear of the bed?

@@Nate-zy5ceI think they’ll fit. I did not try that though.
@Nate-zy5ce5 сағат бұрын
@@seanforney24 I've since found two youtube vids that showed 35's do fit in the spare area of the F150's, snuggly but fit. So that's good.

The reason you are rubbing is the width of your tire. If your tire was metric 295/65/R20 you’ll have no rubbing issues. The tire is actually a little taller than yours but more importantly a little narrower. 3/4” or so which makes all the difference in the world.
@seanforney245 ай бұрын
No more rubbing now, all good.

Did the leveling kit interfere with any of the sensors for the moving taillights while cornering or any of those fancy features? My 2023 lariat has it and i dont wanna fuck up any of that stuff

Looks good. I’m trying to decide between a 2.5 inch and a 2 inch level. Would you have went with 2.5 if you did it over again or no and how is the ride with the level kit?
@seanforney248 ай бұрын
The 2.5 inch is probably what I would have went with. It still rides great. The tires do make it feel planted so much better than the factory tires.

With the 2” leveling pucks, does it throw off the angle of the CV joints very much? I’ve been wanting to do this to my F150 but not sure how much added stress it will add to the CV joints and the upper ball joints as well?

@@casehunter8376 it’s not bad. As for long term, people have been using these for a very long time. I’d say you’d be good.
