2023 Ford F-150 Rough Country M1 Struts install

Once again I bring to you an M1 strut install from Rough Country. And I wasn't paid or recieved any monies discounts or gratuities. During the install there are always those OPPS! Moments but they just make the job more interesting. I took my time and planned it accordingly. The final result was 100% on the money. That is the feel good moment. Looking at doing this set up on my 2023 with the M1's. How is the ride now? Can you make a video after the install? Thank you for making this!

@@johnconway6977 The ride is much stiffer as expected no sugar coating it. But it handles nice on rough terrain your truck kind of says bring it on!! Enjoy your project plan and take your time. Good Luck!

IMO..the M1s are too stiff. These would be good for HD truck. But for alumibody short bed f150, they are rough. You feel everything on the road. N3 or bilstein for the rear.

First time I've seen this 36mm nut, everyone else has been showing the 15mm I think it is. Do you know when this 36mm nut came into play? I didn't plan on ripping my tire off until my struts show up but I have a '22 and saw on '21 it was still the 15mm.

I was surpised as well, thought I was going to replace an apparently common 15mm axle nut then it turned out to be a 36mm nut which my local ford did not have in stock untill a day later. When and why it changed your guess is as good as mine. Thanks!

@@willeb522 are the cv axles in a bind after the lift?

Ok not at all. If anything it would affect the upper ball joint, but with the after market upper control arms angle it's just right after 6,000 miles install all ok. Thanks

@@willeb522 that’s good to know. I ordered the 3 inch lift as well and waiting for it to come in. Was worried about those cv axles that I hear about getting in a bind. Thanks
