2023 Ford F350 Limited Super Duty Review: A Super Truck

Everything is bigger in Texas and the 2023 Ford F350 Limited Super Duty fits right in. The Iconic Silver color wouldn’t be my first choice but it does look great on the F350. The new front end design improves with better LED lighting than previous generation. With this truck being put to work, the front end offers openings for cooling and an air dam to make it aerodynamic during highway speeds. When you get to the side, you can see why this truck is Texas sized! The long wheelbase and long bed configuration had me park it on the street as it didn’t fit in my garage or driveway. The dual rear wheel configuration left little room between parking lines.
Once you use the deployable step to hop in, the interior will greet you with an Admiral Blue and Slate colored leather seats. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the larger infotainment screen was adopted from the F150 model. The Limited badging is a nice accent to the interior but be aware that they can get hot to the touch when exposed to the sun. The front seats offered heating, venting, and massaging to make sure you’re in comfort no matter the temperature.
Under the hood, the 6.7L Hi Output Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine was delivering 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb.-ft. of torque. Thankfully this model had the double rear wheel to put all that torque down. Even though it has more power than the previous F350 model we drove, the mapping felt a lot smoother and useful than the previous model.
Overall I was impressed with how the 2023 Ford F350 Limited Super Duty was easy to drive despite its massive size. The comfort was also a surprise considering the “heavy duty” segment truck’s suspension can be rough when unloaded. The added easy to use technology made this a very desirable truck.

You don't see many of these on the road, so it was nice to see a longer review of this truck. It's definitely the first thing I'd get if I won the lottery. They've gotten so expensive in the last couple years since Covid. Honestly, if I got one, I'd keep it the rest of my life and never drive anything else. I see the Azure gray color is no longer available for the newer models now, but they have a Glacier gray color that looks interesting. I've never been much for red on a truck, but the Rapid Red Tintcoat they do on these things looks like a candy finish. Black always looks good, but looks dirty quickly. White just looks like a commercial work truck. I dunno, it'd be a tough choice. Love to see one in my driveway someday, though.

Beautiful truck! I have a 2022 F-350 Platinum Dually with the 475 HP / 1050 LB-FT, 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel V8... I also got it with the FX4 package & the 4.10 gearing that has the locking rear L.S.D, among other upgrades with the FX4 package. I'm the co-owner and driver of a company that hauls cars, trucks & motorcycles via a 48 foot gooseneck 3-car enclosed trailer. We have three trucks... My '22 F-350 Platinum, my co-owners '22 F-450 King Ranch FX4 Dually with the same powerstroke V8... Plus, we co-own a 2021 Ram 3500 Laramie Megacab Dually with the 420 HP / 1075 LB-FT H.O 6.7L Cummins I6. We have two drivers who team drive for us. If one driver is sick or can't make it to work for whatever reason, the other driver will drive solo. We have a total of three 48' enclosed gooseneck trailers now. I own mine, my co-owner owns his, and we all own 25% of the other trailer that our two drivers use for the Ram 3500. We've been in business since 2018, and we all love it. We're going to let our two drivers buy into the business itself since they have been extremely dependable, and we really like these guys. We're going to sell them 5% of the company each, plus they already each own 25% of the trailer they use, so they will be making even better money then they already are by also getting profits from the business after they sign on. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. I usually like small cars and own a Miata but this truck was something else. Even though it was one of the biggest vehicles I've driven, it was also one of the easiest to drive.Did you like the silver? What color would you go with?

@@Revmatchmedia silver is fine me personally on the limited I would go red, white, blue, black or that new azure gray color. Really loved that atlas blue on the 2022 limiteds.

@@Revmatchmedia yessir yeah drive a tacoma but I own 3 horses so I guess I feel obligated to own a f350 drw especially that limited it's always something that I wanted. Anything to make up for what happened to my blue 2014 f150 limited in high school. But yep the limiteds or king ranches never disappoints me in person I'll tell you that much.

For the clunk between 1st and 2nd… what axle ratio was on this one?

3.55 limited slip. I this something you or others have experienced?

@@Revmatchmedia I had a 2022 F350 DRW Limited with the 4.10 Limited slip. I felt the clunking majorly, but I thought it was because of the higher ratio. I ordered a 2024 F350 DRW Limited with 3.55 Limited Slip, but it hasn’t been built yet. I found that the more I drove the 2022 I could learn to better actuate the pedal to minimize the clunk feeling. After a while I never noticed it because I changed my driving habits for it. I noticed it more in stop and go traffic than anything.

Need super duty paycheck lol. I wish I could but it wouldn’t fit in any car wash and we have water restrictions in my area. My water bill would’ve been super duty too lol
