Opel Mokka , also a good looker but with a more powerful engine : 1.2 3 cyl Turbo , 96 kW / 230nm . It is more than 100k cheaper and comes with a service plan included in the price. For Puma you have to extra for that.

That car at that price is a joke, and you don’t even get a service plan as standard… wtf Ford? Outside of the price it’s a nice little car however at that price it’s simply unjustifiable in this market. You can get a top of the range Corolla Cross GR-S hybrid for well under the starting price of that Puma, R543 700 for the GR-S HEV top of the range vs R 569 900 for the puma starting or the non hybrid GR-S at R 500 200, not to mention the Corolla cross starts around 400k… plus the Toyota has a 6-year 90 000 km service plan included & it’s a lot more car for your money too. Your advice regarding looking at a ranger over this is also on point. Ford is going to have a hard time shifting these pumas, they need to drop at least R250k to even begin to make any sense.

It even gets worse when you start considering vehicles like the Corolla Cross 🙉 which are really good vehicles. They will have to rethink here. Great observation 👌...

What a great car this could have been, but what a disappointment. This is replacing the Ecosport more than the Fiesta. The "Titanium" is more of an ambient or trend for those of you who know. I own a 2017 Fiesta Titanium and my GF a Ecosport Titanium. Those 2 cars for their price offered way more than this garbage. The problem isn't the car. It's the price. It's more than double for a lot less car. The ST vigwhatever is almost the same price as a 2019 KUGA ST. Imagine they brought the Puma ST to our local market. It would have been R750,000. That would've been more expensive than a 2015 Ford Everest. Their cheapest car ( the Figo ) Was if i remember correctly below R200,000. If you stay in RSA and you want a Ford. Your cheapest option from Ford is now. R590,000. Wow Big disappointment.

From the side it looks like a Hyundai Tucson, and the rear of the Vignale looks a bit like the Tiguan For the pricing, man, I've said this before and I'll keep saying it, those Chinese brands are just too attractive to not look at, for the price of the top spec Puma and an extra 15k or so, I'd go for the Cherry 8 PM, or save money and get a Haval Jolion Super Luxury or the H6, lol, even a second hand 3 series would do

That's 100% true. I couldn't have said it any better. I recently reviewed a B9.5 A4 40TFSI with only 39400Km on the clock for R669 900.... So much more car for the price.
