Not sure what the thought was in placing the rotary shift knob closer to the driver instead of the infotainment control. It doesn't make any sense from a design perspective nor functionality perspective. The shift knob was always on the upper end closer to the radio/ac controls in the prior G80, should've been kept that way for this new generation.
