I just got this truck in X31 4x4. Really like it. Ride is great, quiet, does well off road. I wish it had more technology. For same money on LTZ Z71 Chevy you can get blind zone indicator, rear view camera mirror, and 360 HD camera system, rear cross traffic , front and rear parking assist and safety seat that vibrates + all this truck has. I do give the nod to GMC on appearance but you basically get better value in a Chevy 1500 LTZ Z71 20:29

Agree, chevy is best value but that multi pro tailgate is HUGE!....had one on a 2021 and really miss it......chevy has it available but hard to find usually Had both and prefer GMC....and own a chevy currently, they just didn't have one when I was shopping

Very nice review. I could live without the multipro tailgate and at that price I think that it should at least come with the 6.2 engine. Other than that it is a very nice truck that I would be happy to purchase if I won the lottery. I think car and truck prices have gotten out of hand these days.

Thank you, Brad! You bring up some excellent points. I am with you on being able to live without the multipro tailgate. I am sure some people would find it highly useful but I am good with the bumper steps and a conventional tailgate.

Yeah that's what I'm saying it used to be an option back on the 2019-2021 slt 1500s. Wonder why they got rid of it as an option for 2022-present.

Quick and simple answer is no. No vehicle is worth the amount of money dealers are asking for these days, but the value of our dollar has plummeted. No one should have a >$500/month car payment. When you’re having to finance for more than 72 months, there’s a big issue.

Weirdly, the number one detractor for me is the shifter. I HATE this shifter. It's annoying, it takes up a lot of space, and it reminds me of a Pruis' shifter. What was wrong with a column shifter? It was a classic piece, and was tucked up out of the way, so that I could have my wireless charging NOT be by my elbow. I can understand wanting a tactile console shifter, but this one just screams "i want to needlessly take up as much room as i can".

I got a 2023 sle x31 . Pretty luch sale truck just cloth seats and it’s blue but I got a column shifter on mine with a flip up centre console

The GMC sierra I don’t care what model you have it’s not worth the money I’ve had my Sierra sense October of last year and it’s been in the shop twice the second time they can’t get the parts for the vehicles if something happens to him and they refuse to speed up the process GM is now letting the consumer down and I don’t give a damn. Very very disappointed in GM.

They replace that one injector they refused to replace all of it, but they did replace the fuel railings

Yes they have variable piston.. they even have a 4cyl, that has 310 HP and 430 ft/lbs of torque. That also will cut to 2 cylinders on the highway!

I just got this truck but with the back window and a sun roof. I love it ! But… you cannot put the tailgate step down when you have a trailer hitch connected. Terrible design.

Yeah you can...they make a Hitch which signals the multi pro from opening if you have it installed... I used that tailgate daily when working, I loved it, my chevy doesn't have one

It’s not worth any where near that price. Maybe $35k but that’s it. Dealerships and manufacturers must be nuts. And it’s going to end very badly for them. Dealerships will be going out of business because no one is going to spend $1000 or more a month for a truck.
