2023 gridlock dock at Central Transport Indianapolis this is why truckers are leaving

10-minute walk through Indianapolis terminal and reasons not to work for Central. this is got to be the worst trucking company ever. roadblock after roadblock, do trailers to load freight in, very limited amount of operational, forklifts. the dock is literally gridlock.

Notice that no freight is moving. Not enough working forklifts. Stock blocking the chargers, no forklift repair man at this location. Management and software bottlenecks in the system. There is no throughput. Nothing but road blocks, no solutions.

Worst place I’ve ever worked at seriously. Consider yourself lucky, your terminal is in far better shape than the one I worked at, ours looks like an abandoned building. Equipment are all trash, risking possible tickets, breakdowns or accidents. The way they operate is very disorganized. I seriously don’t understand why the government lets this company operate. They’re going to be the next Yellow in a few years I bet.

11 years in Detroit 480 main terminal. It's a way for a billionaire to show a loss. And you signed a disclosure forms. , I'd be very careful about getting sued.

Gridlock usually happens cuz freight is not ready to load until guys upstairs are ready hehe. Scan and put in the bay. Then in the end they tell u what to start scanning. It’s crazy hey

Does the CDL A trucker have to use the forklift? Or do you use hand truck?

Forklifts, but the problem is that the forklifts are all in terrible condition. Most do not work so you can't do your job. Daily wait list for a working forklift.

Heyy im starting with central transport Monday. Im honestly scared because the bad reviews. Do they have smaller trailers like 48ft , 40ft , 28ft??

53s other than, a box truck, and a 48 lift gate. Central Transport does not pay overtime until 55 hours. This should be illegal.

If you drive night shift "line haul" NO, the wheels are rolling you are not getting paid. If you are not logged into a forklift you are not getting paid. You are not paid for inspections, fueling, weigh station, waiting on freight...

I work for central back in 2014-2015 and I was out of a little terminal with only 12 docks and it was the same way. Sometimes only had 1 to 2 forklifts working 4 just sitting not being used. Only was paid $17/hr for P&D. Got to stay scanning to stay logged in. I only advise to go there if you just want some P&D experience then go elsewhere.

I would say RUN! Don't take my word for it go on indeed and look at all of the terrible reviews from across the country. Central transport has a 2.5 average rating. What's 527 one star reviews. It's not just me Nationwide this company is terrible.

It'll be 3 weeks till you get your first paycheck. Good luck tracking down errors and payroll being paid 3 weeks in the rears. They do not pay overtime until after 55 hours which should be illegal. If you drive line haul you only make money when the wheels are rolling or if you are successfully logged into a forklift. There are constant delays which will increase your hours and decrease your pay. Quality equipment will keep you from logging into a forklift
