Excellent review. Thanks!. I am 74 years old and still recall car-pooling with a colleague who had a mid '70s Accord. Its engine was quieter than my wife's sewing machine. I've NEVER owned a bad Honda product; lawn equipment, Accords, Ridgelines: all uniformly EXCELLENT.

Honda sent the garbage edition of the Accord to the US. Take a look at the Asian 2023 Accord on the KZbin channel "JustCars". I couldn't belive it when I saw how different it was. THAT version of the Accord I would buy any day over this pathetic US edition. I have driven Accords for 30 years, so I like Accords but I personally wouldn't touch this US version with a 20 foot pole. Waaaaaay overpriced for what they are giving.

I just wish Honda hadn't abandoned those of us who prefer a higher level of performance. They've given us an option since 1995 with the introduction of the V6 models and the 2.0T in 2018. I have a '21 Accord Touring 2.0T and would not consider this Accord as an upgrade at all. If I were looking for a hybrid, I would buy it but losing 27 lb ft of torque and 48 horsepower from my 2.0T is not what I'm after. I guess I've been spoiled by the 2.0T package because it was such a good, complete product, incredibly fun to drive, fast, economical, very roomy, tons of trunk space and just a delight to drive. My car has a 0-60 of 5.5 seconds and the '23 model is 7.2 seconds. What a shame to see Honda deserting performance. I will look elsewhere when I replace my '21 but I'm sure the masses will continue to flock to the Accord and enjoy the better fuel economy.

My first car was a Gold '79 Honda Accord hatchback with a HondaMatic tranny! I liked Hondas back then because they were visually transparent, yet bullet proof reliable. I literally just saw this car in person a few days ago at a local Honda dealership. It definitely looks decent in person, however, a lot of fans will be turned off by the engine choices. Considering the last generations 2.0 engine, not having that option in the new model is a let down for sure.

I definitely haven’t been a big fan of the outgoing generation’s interior or exterior but Honda certainly knocked that incoming gen out of the park with all its aesthetics. The only reason I wouldn’t personally purchase one would be because of the seemingly underwhelming powertrains, but otherwise, it looks to be a great and much needed product offering in their evolving lineup.

A natural hip height really helps ingress and egress when you're old and decrepit (or hoisting young children in and out). For a lot of aging Honda buyers, the ease of getting in and out of a Passport or CR-V is worth the loss in fuel economy. I prefer low cars, but I stopped judging SUV buyers once I started developing back problems and had to get my toddler strapped into the back of my MINI Cooper.

I think the subdued exterior styling is a welcome refresh from the too-common kid's "Transformer" toy styling that tries to push "aggressive" and "menacing". I'd like to see this on the Civic, but it doesn't matter..... that'll only have a drone-o-thon CVT like the Accord. I'll also guess that taking away the 2.0T will cost them a few sales. Car manufacturers ought to pay attention to what people want instead of telling us.

Heavily-weighted steering (and speed-sensitive steering) is AWFUL. And you all really need to give more information about the suspension. Saying that it's "comfortable, nicely-tuned, and compliant" doesn't mean a lot. Compared to what? A Rav4? A Mazda CX-50? A Lincoln Towncar? Is the suspension soft and wallowy, or does it just smooth over bumps while still staying firm? SavageGeese provides much better, more useful information.

A reviewer of this car when lamenting the loss of a 2.0T engine said, “Everything that isn’t all out performance is turning into an appliance. At least this is a good appliance” With the 10th gen 2.0T model, Honda turned that "appliance" into a sort of performance family sedan. It's surprisingly quick and fun to drive - I know, I have one. With the 2.0T 10th gen Accord, Honda appears to have said, "Why not make a family sedan "fun, sporty and quick?" Now with 11th gen, Honda said, "We were just JOKING! - NO FUN FOR YOU! It's like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown. Honda: Are you listening? - this 11th gen has gotten soundly "booed" on most forums. Using baseball parlance, The 10th gen was a home run. This 11th gen is like a weak grounder to the pitcher only for Honda to get thrown out at first. If you have done this to steer more people who want a fun family sedan to drive in the direction of Accura - that's shabby indeed!

Don’t really see how I’ll save money on fuel with the hybrid when I’m paying for a higher price tag.

The accord still transcends the segment. Behind the wheel it’s a revelation that boring. It may look boring but behind the wheel it’s a whole different story. It excels in every way possible. Performance is good and probably underrated. Everything is best in class.

I’m an accord fan, however, as others have stated, the overall exterior design looks more generic. This looks like the design engineering team took the easy road by mashing a Ford Taurus front with a Volkswagen Jetta rear. One thing you’ll notice across the auto industry is they always go generic after a great design. However, the generic designs also usually precede a great design. Look for Honda to release a banger in the coming next generation.

I have a 2018 2.0T Touring. I love my car! New updated tech and amenities on the new model notwithstanding, welcome to the more boring Accord. Gone is the character that made the Accord different than other family sedans on the road. It now looks like every other car on the road - Mustang or Taurus grill indeed. The new Accord looks VAG - and NOT in a good way. Now as an added bonus I cannot even get the more powerful engine. What a missed opportunity!!! Most reviewers seem to be really trying to be even remotely excited about this new Accord. It's strange (maybe not so strange) that if one wants to get the driving excitement I currently enjoy in my 2018 one must buy an Accura if one wants to stay in the Honda family......This feels like a step backwards!!!! I'll pass!
