why did you compare civic HEV with Corolla 1.8. This comparison does not make sense, since you had to use corolla 2.0. Very strange you did not use it !

The Honda Civic e:HEV uses direct fuel injection technology, so carbon builds up over years. Toyota uses its blended approach of port and direct fuel injection, so the system offers the best of both worlds while avoiding carbon buildup. And because the battery is used much more in the Honda Civic e:HEV, it also wears out much faster than the Toyota Corolla. All this together over a few years you will have higher maintenance costs and / or repair costs of the Honda.

Buy new, sell after 3 years and not your problem anymore... until that time u can enjoy the more fun car which is civic.

​@@tirgod100 That is a possibility, but I have been driving my cars for about 15 years so reliability is very important to me. In addition, you cannot enjoy a car in my country. The maximum speed is 100 km/h and there are many section checks and speed cameras and the penalties and fines are extremely high. So for me a reliable car is number 1. But thanks for your response.

Thanks for the video. Another Civic e:HEC 2.0 vs Corolla Hybrid 2.0 would be nice. I'm sure the Civic will beat the Corolla in many points, but what about the most important part, the fuel economy? I'd say the Corolla could win this.

Yes it sure is a hybrid. 156hp. Hopefully will get to the US a well.

Do you have any idea about the squeeze sound from corolla on bumpy road? Does it come from the suspension or elsewhere? Does it goes away when all windows rolls up?

Wrong Corolla for this comparison here. You must have done this with the 2L Corolla hybrid. 1.8 is nothing like the 2L Covic here and you actually made the Corolla look bad, which it isn't!!!!

The Civic has a good deal more power and you can really feel it. It's worth the extra spend.
