@@anthonyvu749 thats just you and your opinion I guess, everyone here has different ears either if they're good at hearing or are bad at it. For example complaints for road noise are still relevant to the newer Honda models. Nissan rogue are one of the vehicles that are noticeably more quieter than the CRV and that is factual not an opinion and its been tested with a db meter.

Amazing job man. I really appreciate your effort. Your content helped me a lot, while buying a car last year. And I ended up with 22 IS 350 with Mark Lev sound system. I am not sound beast person but great sound system make a huge difference on a long trip experience for sure. I REALLY appreciate you doing this video. I'm currently looking into a new CR-V and the Bose is a make a break deal for me, coming from a 13' CX-5 with Bose that I really enjoy. I'd still like to hear the system in person, but this video is really impressive. Seems like the CR-V Bose is a solid contender.

The Honda CRV was always one of my favorite Small SUVs, but only one thing kept leading me away from it - the bad audio system! Now that it has a BOSE sound system, and 12 speakers at that, (with ones in the d pillars), I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Most small SUVs don't have d pillar speakers or rear door tweeters!

I 100% agree, that was holding back the CR-V compared to the Rav4 JBL or the CX-5 Bose being significantly better, now with the Bose system being offered in the CR-V it’s nice to finally get a good stereo in the CR-V. The CR-V is the best imo especially if you want the most cargo & interior space compared to the other 2. I’ve also heard that the CR-V is much better inside compared to the Rav4 with it being more insulated too.

It happens to a lot more high end audio system too even the Bluetooth was only AAC codec and not even LDAC/Aptx HD and high end DAC, that's why they need a lot of DSP to processing​@@johanneskreisler7647

A lot of information, but the main question is what files are recognized on the USB drive? It seems that no USB CD player works on it. Also no way to play CD files through USB, even FAT32.

So I was researching to see IF the Bose sound system could be added as an addition to the regular sports package CRV. My reasoning for this is that I absolutely hate leather seats and the top of the line models always have leather seats which I don't want again bc living in the south, those seat get hot. Is this possible to get this Bose system in a model without the leather seats?

Thanks for doing that audio demo. Great job! I've ordered the 2023 Pilot Elite and I'm assuming that it will be a very similar sound system as it is also a 12 speaker Bose premium audio system. Do you know how many watts are driving that system? Do you know if you can plug in an an iPod for audio and still use the wireless CarPlay for navigation? I've been using an old iPhone with a music app that has an equalizer to tweak my 2016 Pilot Elite audio system. It REALLY helps the sound quality.

You're welcome, and thanks! Bose doesn't publish wattage for any of their systems, so your guess is as good as mine. You can likely plug in the iPod and have it work as a USB storage device while you're using CarPlay. Hopefully it works!

the bose sound is nice for sure but I refuse to pay for a top level trim honda even though I love them. 🤣 at that point for the price i'd just put in a little more and get an acura. the sound on the base model hybrid sport sounds fine enough to me.

I tested CRV, Kia Sportage, Skoda Kodiaq, VW Tiguan and Rav4. CRV sound system was best compared to highest trim offered in europe and best audio. What shock me the most was Kia. Their subwoofer was weakest somehow. I wasnt sure if its turned on or not. When i changed bass level it didnt make almost any difference like it didnt exist. Even thou i double checked it was there. I tested using Roon Arc streaming my flacs directly from my server. Skoda had mby a bit better higher pitch sound but not much. But overall feeling and bass was best in CRV no doubt. I even doubted Tiguan premium sound as it didnt feel that premium at all compared to CRV. Tiguan sounded cleaner a bit due to better interior insulation but thats about it. Honda has done well with Bose system.

Every car audio manufacturer doesn't support that except you change the head unit to other brands like kenwood, Alpine,Pioneer.

Start with flat EQ and make little tweaks from there. Sound engineers design systems to sound "best" at flat EQ.

We'll be testing them in the next few months! But yeah, if you care about audio at all, I would highly recommend stepping up to the Bose. It's been a big improvement over standard Honda audio in their other new models.

What you need to do is to put the bass volume all the way down in the EQ, then you need to put a external subwoofer and then you ll feel the diference…

Not sure how the cx-30 bose got an A and this a B. I have the CX and my wife the crv. To me the crv is far more balanced using CarPlay lossless.

Any improvement on the CRV sport hybrid radio is a hugely welcome. The radio on that model is quite frankly terrible. The hybrid CRV is a nice foundation for a car radio since the new CRV is the quietest ever.

That is true unless you consider lifespan, reliability and repair costs. The only crossover currently more reliable is the Subaru crosstrek. Even the rav 4 has higher annual repair costs.
