Bought mine a little over a month ago. It is an absolutely gorgeous Crossover SUV. It also rides and handles beautifully. As for power, it is a non-issue. I haven't had any problems merging into the highway and passing cars. The inside cabin is nice and quiet. Great job Honda!! You have proven once again that you are the best car and engine manufacturer in the world. The Subaru, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and Mazda owners could only wish they could own something as well made and gorgeous as a Honda.

I bought a new 2024 HR-V EX-L AWD in September 2023. It has walk-away locking which I enabled from the custom settings. The tire pressure monitor is like on my previous 2015 Honda Fit EX-L. It doesn’t tell you the pressure in each tire because instead of using pressure sensors inside each tire uses the anti-lock brake sensors to detect when a tire is going flat. It saved me on my Fit three times when I had screws or nails in the tread and was able to pull over and get the tires repaired before they were ruined. Having sensors in each tire might be better but expensive to replace when the battery in each sensor finally dies. You can install winter tires on this car without having to purchase four sensors for them. You can reset the trip odometer from the center screen as well as the steering wheel control as shown. I’m happy with this car although I do miss the magic seats on my Fit.

For those that don't know, you can say "use" pretty much all the time, but "utilize" means to use in a creative way that is beyond its original design intent. So you can "use" a toothbrush to brush your teeth, but you could "utilize" a toothbrush as a shiv in jail by sharpening one end.

Another great review! Thank you! My Thoughts: Exterior is similar to the 4th Gen Ford Escape. Not a fan, but the rear looks more European (Audi) and it is more handsome from that angle. Interior is well done as well. Nice to always see a spare tire. I’ll take a spare over a fix-a-flat kit. A kit can only do so much and it will destroy the TMPS in the tire. It will cost more to replace 1 TPMS than to replace the tire. As for power, I wish it had either a Hybrid option for MPG or a 1.5T for both power and better MPG, but Honda’s 2.0L is a very reliable engine that won’t have issues down the line. I look forward to see if Toyota redesigns the C-HR to compete with Honda. Hopefully they can add a little more power or a hybrid option to the C-HR to make it less of a snail on the road.

This gonna be my next car. I heard Toyotas are good but some of their cars burn oil. My parents had a 2007 Toyota Camry LE. Started to burn oil like crazy, when It got older. We eventually had to sell it, because we couldn’t keep up with it. The head gasket went, shocks broke, Ac stopped working, there was a leak in the system, spark plugs were never changed. Bought the car used with 20000+ miles in 2013 and in 2019 the car had 250000+ miles. My Stepdad did a lot of traveling. A lot of highway miles. I hope that a Honda wont burn too much oil. Because, I don’t want to have an oil burner. I currently have a Nissan. Been nothing but problems. Every year there is something happening with it. The car has nearly 101000 miles. But it has one issue after another. Clunking, Popping, Clattering, just like and old beater car, but I am at least happy that It hasn’t fell apart completely yet, because I keep putting money into it. Hope to get this HR-V next year. Can’t wait!

Wish this was the global HRV(I know this is the ZRV). The actual HRV is just not great looking, it looks odd and it gives me extreme budget car vibes. Probably would do better with a larger engine (not 1.5), but I'm not sure if the Honda 2.4 would fit in here. Yes, I would agree a 2000cc engine from Honda is not bad and probably will run half million miles. Is just that is a boring motor. A 2000cc with a turbo would be a little monster though, that I’d like. Unfortunately for me, in spite of being a senior citizen, this engine is a deal breaker. Will have to wait for the CRV hibrid, Honda says it is the most powerful CRV to date and it may be very economical. Pity anyway, because I really wanted an HRV.

Yes, I would agree, but in the real freeway, aggressive and hostile world, a minimum of 7 seconds 0-60 would be ideal. Not to race others at all, but one needs to know there’s power on tap. And I wanted to like it, I’m a Honda man all my life. Perhaps when I turn 75 or 80 I’ll reconsider…

The reason for the increase price is to cover that crazy gas cap that will be a problem for Honda in the future. Rubber cover will crack and split on gas inlet as it ages. Also rear bumper is flush with rear door poor design.

I used to a own a current generation CRV and am debating between this and the upcoming 2023 CRV. I test drove the new HRV, a FWD Sport. Actually, the engine felt fine. It only felt slightly weak at highway speeds, but at urban or suburban speeds it felt peppy. If you’re using it as a family vehicle with kids in the back, you generally won’t be doing tire-smoking accelerations anyway. It was very easy to drive. Pretty spacious front and rear, easy to see out of, comfortable, handled and maneuvered quite well. And like the video says, really tight turning radius. It wasn’t all roses however. For example, the rear seats have lots of legroom, but the rear seat cushions are low. If you have long legs, you’ll have space, but your knees will be angled upwards a bit awkwardly. Also, the cargo space is a bit low for a family vehicle. 24.4 cubic ft is not a lot of space in an SUV, about the equivalent of a 14 cubic ft trunk in a sedan. (In case you don’t know, you basically multiply an SUV’s cargo space by about 0.6 to get the equivalent trunk space in a sedan, because they don’t measure them the same way). It’s OK for a trip to Costco, but not for a family road trip with everyone’s luggage. Compared to a CRV, this was a bit slower, but far more fun to drive. Passenger space is less than a CRV, especially in rear legroom, but still competitive. Where the CRV completely blows this away is in rear cargo space, 39.2 cubic ft vs 24.4 cubic ft. I’ve packed 4 full sized suitcases plus a stroller behind the rear seats in my old CRV. I doubt you can get even 2 full sized suitcases in this HRV’s cargo space behind the rear seats. If you are debating between this and a CRV: If you need big cargo space, CRV all the way. If you don’t, this is actually a lot more fun than the CRV (with the proviso that the 2023 CRVs are not available to test drive yet, so maybe Honda surprises us).
