2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Review

Had my 23 hybrid limited for a year now and it's been great with no issues. Done a few road trips with it and the ride is quiet and smooth, mpg is also great for a vehicle of this size. Good value for money for all the features, definitely recommend. Not liking the new version personally, far too boxy and I think the extra weight might be a struggle for the hybrid powertrain.

why the hell did they upsize the SF for 2024??? It was a perfect size! Now its too big and looks crap. I am ready to buy a new SF Hybrid but have to look for a 2023 since I dont want the bigger 2024

@@chickensnickers Agree, they have gone so far away with the Gen 5 design that it's nothing like previous Santa Fe's. I'll stick with my 23 Gen 4 hybrid for now, still a great vehicle after 18 months of owning.

Just had to share. My father in law, out of the BLUE, gave me this exact model car, completely paid off, as a gift. Only difference is mine is red. It's an incredibly nice car. The backup camera and aerial camera view that is generated by software using the perimeter cameras on the vehicle is fantastic. I've never had a new car in my life and it feels surreal to drive something this nice. Anyway, great video, and have a nice day.

@@YouDontWantItWithMe I actually like the new Santa Fe. It was super unexpected for them to redesign the whole thing and make it bigger. I’m just disappointed that the fuel economy is that of a Highlander hybrid. I was hoping they’d add more. Then again, for an Asian Range Rover, it makes sense. I can’t complain though cuz it’s more reliable than an actual Range Rover. I’m also happy you just got gifted by your father in law. Seems like a nice man and he must like you a lot to do something like that.

Does anyone know if switching driving modes influences the smoothness of the "ride"? My new 2023 Hybrid Limited doesn't have the Comfort setting and I notice it doesn't ride as smooth as the 2013 SF sport I just traded in . . .

Isn't the 2024 Sante Fe going to look completely different (more focused on being a 3 row)? They are not going to place any more R&D in this body style. It's a good buy if you don't mind having to plug in your phone (and similar small conveniences that are missing).

The final year of a model are often *by far* the most reliable and sorted version. Meanwhile, of course the first years of a new body style (/platform/version/etc.) will almost-invariably be the least reliable. Wireless Carplay and Android Auto is extremely hit-and-miss in all vehicles that support it, but exceedingly unreliable in Hyundai/Kia models. Routine OS updates can break it, OTA from the manufacturer, or just bringing your car in for annual maintenance can all break it. Wired Carplay is infinitely more usable as it relies on extremely-old protocols ranging back to the iPhone 5 and the very beginning of Lighting. Wlreless Carplay uses a mishmash of different WiFi and Bluetooth standards (in both the car and the iPhone) which is just a nightmare to maintain (and a nightmare for the owner).

No fog lights…… why not? Need to bring back a traditional shifter. No spare tire? Been waiting for Hyundai to make a change in the Santa Fe wheel design. This design seems to be stuck in the mud. My 2020 Tucson Sport has more In it with an easy to read screen, killer mags wheel style, and a real shifter.
