The K2 Mindbender 89Ti skis are turners. Once you initiate a turn, the ski wants to pivot around the tip and the tail wants to slide around. At 89mm underfoot, the Mindbender 89Ti’s are ideal for ice and groomers. Titanal metal dampens vibrations, which provides solid edge hold on firm ice. The skis are not good for powder conditions nor are they good for the park. They have a traditional old-school feel; for those who haven’t bought skis in 15+ years, these skis are especially easy to adapt to.

My intermediate-advanced input. I bought the 89ti to be my front-side carver on snow drought days at resorts. Really wanted a seriously good carver that has some freeride DNA in it for some off-piste maneuverability as well. This ski fits that perfectly. The reviewer ain't lying. it is a ridiculously fun carving ski on the groomers. But can also be good in the back bowls, trees, and moguls, on the leaner snow days.. It does ski through soft ungroomed snow, packed down powder, and crud impressively well considering its width. very stable. I find its always easier to say there are better skis in better widths for those type of applications and that is 100 percent true of this ski. I wouldn't personally get the 89ti for myself as just a one ski quiver out here in the mid-west. For that I would maybe recommend the 99ti. But still, in this width, I do find it to have impressively good off-piste capability in comparison to others skis I've owned at the same width. I feel that should be acknowledged for those of you that like your 90mm widths. I'll also add that I was really surprised to find I could ski the S**T out of these all day long and still have the energy to keep going after the chairs closed. That was a HUGE added bonus for me. Particularity with a ski that begs to be carved hard in the turns. Previous skis of past, at this width, would have my legs pretty much done by the end of day. The effortless edge to edge and strong edge hold I feel contributes to my leg longevity. It was as a nice surprise. Anyhow, If you're looking for a fun frontside carving/freeride(ish) ski to add to your quiver, I don't feel anyone would be disappointed with the Mindbender 89ti. I'm 5'11 - 210lbs. the 176cm length works perfect for me. Even at my weight and a not so overly cambered ski, it still has a ton of energy under foot. I was on the fence about sizing up but I'm glad I didn't. I couldn't ask this size of ski to perform any better for me.

It seems to me the way you skied these skis is why you decided on it's attributes. All I saw was jabby, punchy turns that produce a tail release. No long smooth pressure carved turns or flat turns. What about crud performance, are they stable?

If you’re looking at skis like the Enforcer 88, Stance 90, or something firmer like the Kendo 88 or Brahma 88 this Mindbender 89 Ti falls on the more playful side.
