This is what I called a very useful and practical illustration of showing a boot space size. All the measurement are so clearly stated that allow us to do some math whether can I fit in 4 medium size luggage. Your really vid helps me to make up my mind that this Sportage model is good for us. Thank you very much

You're welcome! The cargo dimensions behind the 1st row are from right behind the armrest between the 1st row seats

I saw one model that had storage instead of a spare tire. Do you have any information on that setup?

Some folks have just ripped out the rear storage and added in their own spare. Won't be able to get one right from Mitsubishi though. Look at the 2003-2015 Nissan Murano which has the same bolt pattern as this

Thanks for the visual on the dimensions. Question, I need to be able to put a 50 Gallon rolling Tool Box in the back (without dropping either rear seat). The dimensions are: Depth (in.) 37.46 in; Product Height (in.) 27.79 in; Product Width (in.) 23.109 in. I know the depth shows 40", but that's along the bottom... what about towards the top. I'm worried that it may hit the back window. Any thoughts?

That'll be a bit of a tight fit without folding any of the seats down. You're losing about 5-6 inches along the upper part of the cargo area in the top with the slanted rear. If you have a Kia dealer around you it would be worth it to bring the toolbox with you and see if it'll fit! Most dealers are more than happy to help!

does the cargo space have a lip? I've got to accommodate a wheelchair so need easy in / out.

Small one for the liftgate to lock but it shouldn't prevent you from getting a wheelchair in and out as needed

2:14 Do you know if the hybrid has the spare tire, or at least some space under the floor for an aftermarket spare tire?

There's technically room under the floor for it. Canada models have it listed as included but there's no mention for USA ones.. So if yours doesn't have it you could always add it in aftermarket by removing the inflator kit setup
