Appreciate being able to hear the engine, helped me hear that it’s able to be lugged and decide to switch from ‘23 250xcf to ‘23 250xc. I’ve raced a 250f before but as I age into the 55A class I seem to be coasting more and did not like the f’s engine braking. Now I just need my broke fingers to heal so I can ride it

It lugs even better in the green map in my opinion. Had more pulling power right off the bottom end. Hope you heal up quickly!

If you have nitrogen at home, try that in your forks instead of air. I find it pumps up much less.

Thanks for the update! I only have about 5 hours on my 2023 250XC. First time I rode it was in a Hare Scramble race and fouled a plug on the way to the starting line - which was my fault, since I warmed it up like my YZ 250. Only been in white map, going to try green this weekend. I did have the suspension tuned and have one ride on it. For me, made a big difference, but I'm around 220-225lbs. Been running Motorex at 40:1, 93 pump gas with a BR8 spark plug. Front forks did bleed off but that's been fixed with the suspension work.

I fouled a plug on my 23 tx300. (Same as 23xc300). I realized you cant let the bike idke much when you start it. I start it, let it idle a little then start working my way up on the throttle clearing it out. Been good ever since. The only thing I dont like about the 23 300s is it takes like a half hour to change the plug if you dont take the tank off. It was not fun.

Am I supposed to bleed the brakes every time?

I'm on a 23 250xcf this year and my experience has been pretty similar to yours. Great bike I use the white map because the green one tires me out over a 2 hr race. Put a rekluse in because my hands cant work properly anymore for 2 hrs and i started stalling a bunch towards the end of a race. I did convert the fork to spring and it made a huge difference for me. I plan on getting a 250xc next year as a 2nd bike and see which one I like better.

I WHIS YOU HAD SHOWN A SHOT OF THE BIKE. FROM THE LITTLE IT SHOWED, IT LOOKED SWEET.

Yeah, I will probably do another video showing the bike soon. This link is a walk around that shows the full bike if you're interested. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXbXZHyAoc2UgqM

Reason why the forks get harder is because the air gets hot on the forks . That’s why they are good only for short motos horrendous for a long day in the woods

When they say 10 sec, count to five as quick as you can and let rip! It’s what fast dudes do

Do you ever wish you bought the 300 for the more power or is the 250 enough?
@JRideRR8 ай бұрын
@tandccreations6383 I haven’t ridden the new TBI 300’s. That being said, I never felt the 250 was lacking power. It doesn’t have the immediate torque of the 300 but still made plenty of power for me. It’s still a 250 2-stroke.

I'm curious if your bike has the Elko cylinder or a Kymco? The Elko's have a stamp at the top of the cylinder on the left hand side (sitting on the bike) and seem to have 72 (for 300) and 66 (for 250) plus a few other numbers at the bottom of the cylinder. Kymco has it spelled out on the top of the cylinder on the same side or their symbol (which looks like KC) on the bottom of the cylinder. Probably doesn't make any difference but it seems like they may be using both between 22 and 24. Elko is what they have used in the past I think.

I have an Elko cylinder. It has a tiny Elko stamp top left of cylinder (sitting on bike).

Thanks. I suspect that's the better one to have, or at least the one that is tried and tested for much longer. @@JRideRR

Hi . Just curious on how your lap times compare to your Yamaha yz250f since you made the first video ? You were faster on the Yamaha back then. Have you put a timer on yourself recently?
@JRideRR Жыл бұрын
I have. In different sections I wound up being anywhere from 0.5 to 1.0 second quicker on the 250 XC over the YZ250F pretty consistently. All these newer bikes are so good though. I hopped on a buddies CRF 450R and was only 1.7 seconds slower than my best time. First time on the bike and first time riding a 450.

What air pressure are you running in the forks and what c/r settings, also how much do you weigh?
@JRideRR Жыл бұрын
I run 135-140psi in the forks. I check before every ride and the psi has been pretty consistent. Comp and rebound I’ve actually gone back to the stock settings. I haven’t changed them in quite some time so I don’t remember the number of clicks. I’ve been bouncing between 165-170lbs w/o gear lately.

@JRideRR I thought it was good. Plenty of bike only trail. Had to scratch my head a little. Made my way up to first, got passed, and back to second, but somehow in the 9th when I came through scoring on 1st lap. Course was poorly marked in places but Fun nonetheless. See you in Punta Gordo hopefully!
