The recycling truck is my fave from this whole wave. It's one of those perfect little sets that seems to do everything right, so it slots into a city without needing modifications, and the price isn't bad either. I like that tuning garage set, but it's missing a key element, the actual garage. I can't see that going in my city like that. I have two of the tuning workshop from a few years back that I intend to smash together to make something bigger and fully enclosed, and I'm thinking I'll use parts from this new garage set inside of it. The lift looks cool, I like the cars themselves, and having more tools and engines and parts would be nice. The penguin slushy truck is another great food truck, will def have to grab that. Maybe during the summer I'll block off a street in my city and set up an outdoor market with food trucks.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing with the custom car garage, putting it inside my modified Tuning Garage that I built a few years ago. Even with doubling the length of that set, I noticed its gonna be a tight fit to put all the machinery of this set inside (should be possible at least with several modifications?)

My favorite is surpringly the garbage/recycling truck. I love that you can dump the garbage and it is really nice to have in the city. I especially love that they added a cat since I always see kitties looking through the garbage at our towns transfer station. Cleaning up the mice as well. I love watching you guys build together. I think this may be one of the best Lego city waves in recent times. Exciting designs and builds and not ridiculously priced. Hope they continue down this path

The garage is cool and I hope that it ends up in the train yard underpass section eventually as it would do well with all the noise it’s making from testing out the motors also it’s nice to see a Lego bōsōzoku car too and I love the city

I like the recycling truck best. But overall fun city sets. Again, great chemistry Alex and Josh. And it is a loy to see Josh is really having fun, too.

@6:50 European trucks are normally like this and pull a lot. But agree with the wheels on the trailer. Beautiful USA truck would have been nicer, but then the set would have been at least 5 euros more expensive.

These reviews with the two of you are really really dynamic and cool! Josh really grew up in the past year and is slowly getting the youtube-guts of his father :). Merry Christmas! The lemonade van is just a copy of the icecream van in other colors... the gaming truck looks proportionally wrong. The garbage, ehhh recycling truck, looks really good! The racing set is a very interesting idea, nice play set for kids!

Definitely will have to pick up the garbage truck. That one will fit great in any Lego city. I also really like the features of the custom car garage from a playability stand point. I could really see that being something a kid would love but not sure how well it fits in a city without heavy modification and moc building.

The gaming truck has a Smart Car rig! Why not use two of the 1x4 plates with axle bearings for the trailer so you could have 2 pairs of larger wheels that would fit a space 3 studs wide each wheel? The wheel wells on that trailer are 6 studs long, so it looks awkward to have a such small wheels meant for a space 2 studs wide each wheel and have that large empty space. You could even use the same rims and just have larger tires instead of racing slicks they came with.

I like these sets with the exception of the auto mod garage, I like my sets a little more self contained. I actually really like the front grill of the gaming rig. I bet it’s supposed to be an electric vehicle.

These are some of the best Lego city sets in a while, however the gaming tournament truck should have had better proportions. The modifications you made made it better Great that Josh is reviewing sets

I modified my gaming tournament truck in almost the same way you modified yours with the additional wheels on the cab and using the white rims and bigger tires. The trailer looks cooler with the bigger wheels. I didn’t build the controller sign on top of the truck though.

Thanks, I built it a very long time ago so I do not have any instructions for it, but it is pretty basic. I am sure it could be pieced together pretty easy just by looking at it.

The Custom Car Garage is a little confusing for the fact that there is no roof, so if it rains, all of their plans on making a custom car will be really wet.

not a big fan of the gaming van but I think I will end up getting it to pair it with Nova who is a gamer on lego friends, foud it for $20 bucks but have being thinkingabout it. .

Penguin van is the most recycled generic LEGO design ever; just disappointing. However, the other 3 are surprisingly refreshing designs. The gaming truck needs few improvements but unique with good features, the custom garage is a fun playset and I can see MOC builders expanding on this, and the recycling dumptruck is the most well-thought out and surprising one.

Gotta admit, the cab for the gaming truck looks so plain and boring and the wheels for the trailer need justice. It is what it is I guess but... Still I love Lego.
