It is more premium than the Tesla Model S, but it is considerably more expensive. Unfortunately all this premium feeling goes out the door when you find yourself on a road trip trying to charge it on the unreliable non-Tesla public charging network.

1. There's more to driving than road trips for most people, 2. the charging is getting significantly better at non-Tesla chargers, 3. you'll soon be able to charge Lucids at ALL Tesla charging stations.

I’m very surprised by the loudness of the motor sound on acceleration and deceleration.

That is a feature of the automatic level control in the recording device. Background sounds are amplified when no other sound is present. Nevertheless, you can hear the motor some in a Lucid. Many, including myself, find it to be pleasant. It is a genuine mechanical sound, not an artificial sound played over the audio system as is so common today. Even many gasoline cars today make synthetic engine sounds in the cabin because of the increasingly strict noise regulations placed on cars.
