Thank you for not over commentating!!! You guys together were dialed!! So thankful! Gave the viewer lots of local knowledge (s/o Shasta) but didn’t chatty Cathy every sec of air time! Bravo! This is up there, with one of the most enjoyable watches in the last couple years! Seriously! I cannot stand the “status quo” of disc golf commentating, we have eyes, we don’t need to be told we couldn’t throw that shot! Duh! Cheers guys!

My guess is they’re trying to ingratiate him and rebrand themselves. They came off badly in that whole debacle. He said new ceo so maybe a complete overhaul of the company

They settled and Prodigy dropped their lawsuit. Gannon is playing out the remainder of his contract and will be a free agent after this year.

I'm not hating, but I am confused. Your even scoring shows that this lead card is not actually the lead card of the event this round. Shouldn't it be Harris at -6, Proctor at -5, Buhr -4, and either Redalen, Miranda, or Meintsma at -3. Am I wrong? Thats what it shows for the event score.

Just because no one birdies a hole doesn’t mean the par is wrong. Golf is about getting pars. Not birdies. DeLa is golf. Every shot matters. Not just the tee shot.

@@craigcampbell1843 Because there's no chance to reach the green in 1 shot. In golf a par 3 is reach the green in 1 shot and 2 putt. A par 4 is reach the green in 2 shots and 2 putts, etc. If even the best pros can't reach even within C2 in 1 shot, in my view it's not a par 3. All this doesn't really matter in terms of winning the tournament, though -- it's still lowest score wins.

An analogy. Let's say that in golf there's a 410 yard hole with a dogleg in it, and the best / longest hitters like Cameron Champ or Rory McIlroy can only get their tee shots within 60-70 yards of the green. They can hit a 50%-60% power wedge to get on the green and get up and down for a 3, but if they take 2 putts, they get a 4. Should par be 3 or 4? It's subjective, I get it. But that's a par 4 to me. I think this hole 1 and the "i-5" hole are kind of similar to my analogy.

@Craig Campbell a big concept within golf is getting birdies. That's what creates playing separation. When an entire field, with the caliber of this tournament, doesn't birdie a hole, it shows the course designer incorrectly assigned a par that birdie was simply unattainable.

It's not part of the DGPT anymore because it's too difficult. Players are only -10 through 2 rounds, so it isn't fun anymore for the spoiled players. Great coverage guys!!

And because they couldn’t figure out a way to broadcast live coverage and charge people money to watch it. There’s no signal there and that’s the DGPT’s business model. They say it’s growing the sport but if they can’t charge people to watch live coverage they’re not interested in having it on the tour. No matter how iconic the course is.

2 meter rule is a bad rule regardless of the course. One player falls through the other doesn't on identical shots. Why bring luck into the equation? You could also skip up into a tree. It's just a bad rule that is entirely luck based.

Ya, one disc sticks in the grass on a fairway and another just skips off a bare patch and lands in a creek. One disc hits a gust of wind and turns over, while another thrown 20 seconds later has NO wind. ITs nOT fAiR!!! The game was designed with rules and a whole bunch of sissies decided they didn't want to play it like that. We have the grabbiest tress in the country and we STILL play the 2-meter rule in NorCal. It's part of the game. If you don't like it, don't play here.

@@ronjones-6977 you cant make enough valid points for people to stop complaining. Even the commentators had to bring it up and try to politely explain it, again. It doesn't apply to anybody hating it but they are so vocal about their opinion. All your examples happen all the time. I've never seen a disc skip over 2 meters high and get stuck in a tree hahah not saying it cant happen but sheeeeeeeeesh that's a stretch.

@@joshadams8877 I worked this tournament two years ago. Ricky was the only one all three days to throw into a tree on the easiest hole on the course. All three days. Men or women. He whined and bitched and was rude and acted like the rule was somehow the problem. It wasn’t the rule’s fault he threw into a tree when no one else did. It was his fault for making a bad throw. On other courses if you have a bad throw you are penalized. DeLa is no different. It’s just too hard for some pros.
