2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC review: Does the new GLC300 luxury SUV have the BMW X3 xDrive30i worried?

How did you get an ambient lighting? As mercedes benz dealer and head office folks say that australian models dont come with ambient lighting plus like air vents and center console line. They say there was some semi conductor issue because we didnt include. Of ourse they didnt tell anything about this before the sale. Its only when my friend raised this concern when she observed over night post purchasing the car.

Hyundai do in the tucson,kia with the shortage too,especially with you lucky guys in oz,and the USA too,we only get the swb versions here,but,still a good compromise on both...speaking as a tucson ultimate driver👍...

Saying that,as good as the tucson is for the money,and spec(uk),and it's place in the market,it goes without saying that the merc,is a cut above in spec,and luxury,and "badge presence, and,maybe build,and the price point reflects that I feel.my tucson ultimate,is the top spec for its model,except the lovely N line variants,and its great, for its looks(I'm biased,but it is a marmite car in this respect I know),safety,spec,and build quality,and it's lovely to drive and be in...but...given the money,and chance to have the merc...well,its not an exactly fair or equal comparison at all but,yes please Mercedes...its a beautiful vehicle,inside and out 👌...

has anyone been experiencing 48 volt battery suddenly failing or shutting off on these in Australia? It seems like many American-spec GLC have this problem

I’d own one in a heartbeat if (a) I could actually buy one and (b) the sale price was negotiable and (c) the price was actually listed as shown in the video. 6 mths ago I enquired about a used ‘20 GLC300. $122,000, no negotiation at my local M-B dealer. At the time I owned a ‘19 C300. No “mates rates” for this returning customer, unfortunately. Ended up with a new ‘23 Kia Sorrento.

@@ulypanettieri4824 I’m talking about the prices that my local dealer was asking at the time. No willingness to negotiate. That’s why I went elsewhere. And to a different brand. And remember. My post is 7mths old and my experience with M-B was 6ths earlier, or in this now, 13mths ago. I have no idea how the market is now with regards to M-B. I’m no longer looking for one.

I would not buy any car let alone an expensive SUV with a flat tablet in front of me pretending to be an instrument panel... It cheapens the interior..and has no hood to stop sun glare...which is a real issue in Australia...You can get a fantastic MX5 or MX9 ...or VW SUV for a fraction of the price...and with a Diesel power option Too !!! I hate to think how much those big tires are to replace...they are overkill...only adding to already expensive service costs...
