The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander was the surprise hit nobody asked for. Last week, we (my family) got to test drive this very Xpander GLS AT, with my older brother the one driving. Our agent sat beside him, my mom on the second row, and me on the third row. Yes indeed, riding comfort is of top-notch quality, even for me who sat on the third row-so spacious (given the second row seats are slightly slided forward), and my brother was quite impressed with how quick the car can get up to speed (of course not as blazingly fast but adequate enough power). Mom instantly fell in love with the Xpander, no doubt choosing this over the Avanza, Veloz, Rush, XL7, and Ertiga which she said felt claustrophobic-and I could ever agree more. Can’t wait to get ourselves this lovely MPV this week! We, as a family, owned a Mitsubishi Adventure for 13 years, and while it’s quite sentimental for us to say goodbye to him, he still lives on with our upcoming new car (no wonder that the Xpander basically replaced the Adventure in Mitsu’s lineup). Definitely a significant upgrade in everything-from the power to the dimensions and most of all, the comfort to be driving/riding in this car.

I really dig cars that know what they are. I remember saying in one review that sometimes driving isn't about the thrill and joy of the drive, but the fact that you get to enjoy moments with your family and friends, heading to wherever you need to go, is more than enough! At the end of the day, if you want joy in driving, get a sports car but to expect a family car to get your blood pumping, well that's other people's problems. I'm glad that you understand that and, yes that's what this segment is for!

BUYERS BEWARE ! as an xpander buyer and user myself the car features are very good, whats not good ? if you dont have the appetite for fuel consumption. how high is high, and how low is low? the fuel consumption of XPANDER GLS series is 1:10. yes you got that right 1L/10km. even less if you hit them traffic. this is just an honest review.

I totally agree. I wish this was the Xpander's standard form but I guess compromises have to be made to keep the price down and if others like that extra pizzaz, they can pay for it. It changes the dynamic of the Xpander, looks-wise!

Just got ours released today 12.23.22, this MPv is worth it. Very comfortable to drive, very spacious, full tank at around 2.5k pesos, the design is so slick and aggressive. Happy owner here.

Just drop here, and courious about xpander in other country. I'm from Indonesia, and bit surprised the GLS version is more likely Sport/ultimate version in here. GLS < Exceed < Sport < Ultimate. GLS is the lowest trim while the Ultimate AT is the most completed feature. All AT used CVT. Ultimate didnt have MT. I prefer MT, which only available in Sport version. Anyway, great review... 👍

With all the improvements of cvt, its becoming better all around. Especially with the launch gears made by toyota in their cvt. Strict maintenance should be observed with the cvt to make it last

Despite the facelift the side profile, its egg shape shines right through. It reminds me that under that flashy face is a soul sucking MPV which is one sliding door removed from a 🤢Minivan🤢. Don't get me wrong, they have their place and if i had to choose one it would be the Xpander Cross as it does the best job of lying to me about that fact. Still it is better than most of its traditional competition like the Rush and current BRV.
