This Ariya should be branded as an Infiniti Ariya. It’s a premium and refined build quality SUV, not a race mobile.

Why are so many people obsessed with 0-60 times of EVs? I don't think that it the point.

I get what you are saying but I think it is more of a price point thing. I think no one cares in the 40k range but if you are going to charge 60k for a car it should be comnparable to other cars in the price point.

I love the Ariya but it has two problems. If it is still going for 60K it is overpriced by 15-20k. The ID4 is much cheaper and is on par in many respects (I have driven both and own an ID4). If Nissan wants to get this kind of money I also agree with the reviewer that the performance needs a big boost. I mean the acceleration on the base model is worse than my Nissan Leaf 62 KWH and that is just crazy at this price point.

You lost me right at the beginning with the cost at $60k. How would that replace a leaf? We need EVs below $30k.

These are loading up on dealer lots. Should be nice incentives at the end of 2023.

Those proportions lend to it needing to be a CrossCabriolet the way the hood pontoons out. Ok, triceps and quad teardrops. We see you!

Nissan already announced they were adding Tesla's NACS charging port to the vehicle in 2025, and that all existing vehicles could charge on the Tesla Supercharger Network starting in 2024.

Why is the software so poor at planning battery capacity at A destination. It always shows a much lower estimated state which affects charger planning. Annoying.

Max charge rate doesnt matter, what matter is the charge curve, how long it stays at high rates. 250kw doesnt matter if its only for a minute or two….

They got rid of the Leaf? Bad move, they should sell both. EVs only for rich folks is a big mistake. Also Nissan not selling any hybrids currently, also stupid move.

The leaf is still beinh sold but it's severely outdated. They're replacing the leaf in 2026 I think

Now is a critical juncture in global transportation. EVs, while bloating dealer inventories now, will eventually overtake gas/diesel vehicles. Oh yeah, by the time self-driving big rig trucks hit the road, the U.S. national speed limit will be 55 mph. My guesstimate is 2028. Conservation of limited resources (regardless whether gas/electric/diesel/hydrogen/NG) will be DRAMATIC, nationally. I can imagine "I can't drive 55" song covers now...
