I have this car. It’s not a sports car, but it’s athletic as hell and I like it. I’ve put 54k miles on it already since I travel for work and this car is strong. I just change my CVT fluid each 20k miles and she floats like a dream. My 07 Altima 3.5SE got 201,734 miles on it before it was totaled and it had the original CVT and engine.

they could. their RND has shown they’re capable of making quality transmissions. it’s just cheaper to use the CVT since nobody’s buying a nissan passenger car with performance in mind

God the faux shifts are terrible. Just makes you sit there wondering when it will stop 1-2 shifting and finally move on. I’m sure it has some benefits for the engine not holding it at redline the entire time, but a little creativity goes a long way.

you can make it 50 hb faster its A trick that puts the gear shaft on the manual mode at the beginning of the acceleration, and before it changes automatically to the second gear, quickly return it to automatic and turn the steering wheel left and right in a simple degree, and adjust it, it cancels the activation of the CVT simulated gear for the traditional gear, and it becomes much stronger And it is very smooth in changing the gear, to the point where you had one gear

They have a chain belt compared to other transmissions, so if the guy keep pressing the gas pedal like that, he's going to destroy the transmission, because the chain could slip. On Nissan's CVTs it is best to not launch the vehicle or pressing the gas pedal too fast. They are made to support a smooth drive and acceletation.
