Hello, thanks for the great video! I'm torn between the Enforcer 100 and Rustler 10. I LOVE the look of the Enforcer but don't want that to cloud my judgement (after all, the best ski is one covered in snow). I am a 5’10” 160 lb advanced skier who loves finding powder stashes on double blacks, zipping through tree runs, and hitting small jumps, but I also don’t want to compromise carving down empty early morning groomers at 50+ mph. I've been on the same Volkl AC30 170cm length 80mm underfoot for the past 10 years. I live and ski in Ohio but typically get 10-14 ski days in Colorado/Utah per season.

@Alex Schumacher, both are sweet skis. You might consider the heaver Enforcer if you consider yourself a one ski guy and you place a high value on stability at speed and on ice in OH. The Rustler has less metal in the tip/tail so they are going to feel quicker and maybe even more fun vs Enforcer as you work your way through the off trail stuff. These skis are similar and even built in the same factory, Enforcer wins on stability and Rustler wins on float and playfulness.

Looking to have a ripper on groomers with some float in moderate powder -out west Skied the Enforcer 100 last weekend. Compared to my Mantra it was surprisingly quicker edge to edge and def floated powder better. However the Mantra has more heft to it and crushed GS turn and crud more effectively. Was convinced the Enforcer would fit the bill but still shopping, Suggestions? Expert skier on groomers getting better in POW, but want to keep up with my powder hound buds. I dig your vids because you don't just talk about how great a particular ski is but compare them. Thanks!

@cragginshred, Enforcer 100 definitely fits the bill, it’s powerful and stable but surprisingly easy through tight terrain or softer snow. If you like the feeling of a Mantra but wanted a little more versatility go with Enforcer 100. Awesome ski. The next closest ski to that would be an Armada Declivity 102 ti. The armada has a little more zip in and out of turns while still having a limitless power band. It’s a more exciting ski than the enforcer 100 and snappier in the trees.

Hi. Looking at the BC 100 for skiing off piste, in the trees, in the bumps, and as a powder ski alternative to my Nordica Enforcer 88 (165cm). I am 5'8" and 175. I want the ski to more maneuverable than stable at speed. Is the 164 too short? I have been skiing 160's range of skis for a couple of decades and don't want to be caught off guard with a 172 cm. Thanks!!
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Lawrence Haines, thanks for the note, I think you could go either way. The 172's will be more stable at speed but they will be harder to control in tight spots. If you have been happy with your 165's then the 164's might be a good way to go. The shorter skis will definitely be more fun and maneuverable in tight spots

Hello! I am 5’10’’ 155lbs. Ski in Canadian rockies. Already own a pair of enforcer 94 at 172cm for harder snow. Looking for a maneuverable and lighter ski for trees, jumps,powder and little bit of park. Considering the rustler 10, reckoner 102 and bc 100. Which one and what length do you think its the best?
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Whicky Wang, Bent chetler is going to feel the most at home in those situations. It’s light, playful, nimble and quick underfoot. 172cm length would be best for you. The Rustler would be my second choice; it does feel more composed on firm snow compared to the bent chetler but it’s a bit less nimble and a little heavier.

Hello, thank you for this very good video, I currently have the black crows camox and i love it, maybe, i would like to have a ski a little bit more powerful and good in powder but i want to keep a playful ski. What would be the perfect ski ?
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Romain Loizeau are you looking for a wider ski that will be good in powder or are you trying to stay around 100mm waist still? Remember that typically you will sacrifice some playfulness for power and vise versa, but there are a few options that are a little wider and combine everything pretty well like; Nordica Enforcer 104 Free, Black Crows Atris, Atomic Bent 110 and Blizzard Rustler 10.

@@TheSkiMonster I am a bit scared that if i go with a wider ski like the atris or the other exemple you gave me, I will lose performance on slope and hard snow. I like to ski very hard on the slope and to carve but also to go further in the resort in the power and to send some jump etc..

Hello, very beginner looking to add versatility as I feel my 78 rossi experiences hold me back in deeper west voast snow sometimes. Have been looking at the fisher line in mid 90s. Thoughts if my biggest issue is initiating turns?

@TheSkiMonster sometimes... I feel like they hold me back in deeper snow or choppy ungroomed trail. I also feel unstable going faster or down steeper slopes but that may be just my inexperience or poor form. I am basically teaching myself

I'm 5'10 155 lbs, intermediate do you recommend the 172 or 180 rustler?
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
Same as the Rustler 9. If you are a skier that prioritizes hopping into the trees and some more technical terrain or want the ski to pivot easier, I would say go with a 172cm. If you are a more aggressive skier who likes to go fast but doesn't need the ski to be as maneuverable go with the 180cm.

@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Ravenman, Ranger 102 and Rustler 10 are in the middle in terms of weight. They both have metal under binding and that will help with screw retention. Since tele bindings concentrate force this could be helpful. Of the two, the Ranger 102 is a bit lighter so that could be a good option.

Hi! I am 5’3‘‘ and 120lbs. I like to have a very versatile all mountain ski that I can carve with on groomers but also shred fresh powder. I’m considering the G3 Findr 102 Swift in 164 cm and the Fischer Ranger 102 in 162cm. Can you suggest one more than the other?
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Little Ha, our crew is way more excited about the Ranger 102’s. The G3’s are more focused on touring and do not have the same performance of the Ranger 102’s when it comes to true all mountain skiing.

@Ted Catranis, Enforcer 100 = 2080g @ 179 Ranger 102 = 1950g @ 176 cm Rustler 10 = 2020g @ 180 Bent 100 = 1700g @ 180 cm We have put these in order, most demanding on the left, least demanding on the right. Skis that feel demanding can also feel heavy.

Hi I am 47 5'-9" and 205 lbs. I want a ski to chase my 11 years old son through trees, park and fresh snow. I also like to ski in groomer, switch, jump and carving. I need your opinion; between BC-100 and M-Free 99 which one should I get? and What Length ? I am Also looking for new pair of ski for my son. 11 years old 5'3" 105 lbs. I was looking on BC Mini for him, with Warden 11 90mm binding, he is growing so fast and I need your advice for ski length; 153 or 163? Thank You!
@TheSkiMonster
@TheSkiMonster Жыл бұрын
@Michael Ghaeli Atomic Bent 100 is a better ski than the M-Free 99, flat out. The bent has a more nimble feel underfoot while also maintaining a higher level of predictability and precision. The m-free is softer in the tails making it feel more playful, sacrificing performance on groomers and firm snow. Bent 100 is just stiff enough to keep the ski gripped in and confident. At 5’9, 205lbs go with the 180 cm. 172cm would be more maneuverable but the 180 will offer more stability across a wider variety of terrain. As far as ski length for your son, go 163cm if he’s growing like crazy. He’ll get used to a longer length and it’ll give him something to grow into as opposed to grow out of.
