Good job guys. I miss all the great hunts I had with my brother or a good friend of mine who both owned and trained squirrel dogs. Those were some great times and memories while growing up and living in North MS and the hills filled with hardwoods and bottoms. Sadly years later, all those hunting areas have been cut down and planted in pines, and both of my old hunting partners are now deceased. A few years ago, I moved out West, and now at much older age and retired, I really miss all the country living and good folks who enjoyed great dogs and hunts.

Great hunt, Great dog. My dogs love the water. I shot one over a creek and my bitch jumped off the creek bank 15' foot down to the water. Problem I have is keeping them OUT of the water.

What’s it like with Pete when you aren’t hunting ? Are you able to take him camping and run around the yard ? Do squirrel dogs also make good pets when out of season ?

You got a nice squirrel dog there, what bloodline is he from ? I would have had to carry my Feist across that creek….he don’t like water either, but he will get you a sackful of squirrels. I enjoyed your video.👍🏻

@@southerncompanyoutdoors6767 Now ain’t that something… My dog is off Keith’s Gizmo dog he had. My best day was 44 squirrels with 3 shooters and one dog. We were at a good WMA, fixen to hit it again today. I’ve got a few squirrel dogs on my channel too.👍🏻
