Charlie cracks me up. He makes Seekonk Speedway fun during the spectator drags. He will brakecheck the hell out of opponents but when that white Camaro did it to him, he threw a full temper tantrum on the track. LOL. But it was great, very entertaining driver.

I do love that blazer. He knows how to freak out a Tesla and make it cut power to avoid an "accident". But he can drive for sure. I love that its built from random bits of this and that. Making his own suspension setup, it's really an engineering marvel. I'd love to look under it up close.

The thing that makes it hard is that a lot of these guys have several hours into their builds . Then some dude just buys Tesla and is able to compete with them. That's why in Rally they have a completely separate category for electric vehicles.

With that said, i also agree that any donkey can buy a tesla plaid and spank hardcore racers who wrench on thier own cars. EVs dont belong in this style or racing, just like a huge SUV. @@jwallace2913 it’s tough to see from the angle but he definitely didn’t squeeze the Tesla, Tesla actually slows down in the corners when the wheel is turned. That’s part of its system that wasn’t turned off for the race. Gtr didn’t throw the race either, just doesn’t do the corners well and was sliding a lot too.

At the end of the day you can’t please everyone. Track handled it very well with circumstances out of their control. I know other tracks that would have canceled the rest of the show all together. Definitely understand it isn’t the best for those with commitments the next day but the best we can do is adapt with what we’re given. That goes for anything in life haha

I did this back in the mid 80's in Woodstock GA and it turned into the best times of my life. They wound up having a completely stock class and I mean stock. But they made a "Modified" class that was run what you bring. Of course it got totally out of hand, and that's when I found my nitch, I loved it. But I never liked the name Spectator racing ,I didn't think it did it justice. Spectator drags is better, but I think that "Oval Drags" sounds better ,because we know that most of the guys doing it are there for one thing, and that's to race. I don't remember any of the Super late model winners that won their events the nights I raced the modified class.
