I love the fact that the seats are actually useable and do the job that they are marketed for. There are too many advertising that they have seat belts when there are no headrests, or worse, the seats are perpendicular to the direction that the vehicles are travelling in. I can see a few improvements on the shower design and more general storage to make them more efficient. I also saw a really novel and useful feature that could be added to maximise floor space, this van has so much potential! 👏🏻🤗😉

Great tour of all- Nick is great and you're on point w info and comments thank you- The Pivot Slummber is awesome except..... I am dumbfounded as to why nearly every class B goes with the high rise twin beds..?? Both sides too high to use as bench seating for all the time you know when you're not sleeping?? I know higher and easier getting on and off the bed and some additional storage but... All of the same features gained w higher benches could still be incorporated into a lower bench seat configuration. Sometimes that perfect set-up is sitting w those two large doors.. That Pivot Bath/Shower set up is awesome near perfection here

Great video as always! I like this one for the pop top, bathroom (we need more swivel bathrooms!) and kitchen but am trying to sort out my only hesitation which is why the two side beds aren't flexible to be multipurpose to convert back and forth between a couch/seating area and the beds. @@gosmall.livelarge That one is great! Here's one from 2.5 years ago. My first thought was "I hope there won't be a Tic Tok challenge on this one!" There are some great features on this surprise RV. American manufactures need to notice the rounded corners on the slide-out...there is a painful reason so many RV'ers have pool noodles fastened to their slide outs. I also like the windows and shades. The easy way to do shades is "pull-down". This however can leave you "em-bareASSed"! Dual-pane awning windows should be standard. The deal breaker on this is that it is like my 1985 Toyota Van LE...the worse Toy ever. Having your feet reach the accident before the engine says it all. That style of bathroom is a real winner. Would prefer a fixed toilet with black tank, but the idea of swiveling a moving partition to create an isolated shower space is really great. Despite the comments that the shower space was ample I do think it looked a little cramped and would prefer a slightly bigger bathroom - just an inch in all directions would probably be sufficient. The front lounge is key, every class B should have a lounge like that. The pop top is awesome and I wish my 2020 Travato GL had one. The galley is great but I would prefer an eye height fridge setup like in the GL. As much as I personally like the Travato fold-down bed, I do see the value in separate sleeping areas as anyone who has slept with someone else in the GL will testify to the sometimes uncomfortable proximity of your fellow sleeper. If my Travato GL had the pop top and the transformer bathroom I think it would be just about as perfect as possible (well, except for the terrible Winnebago build quality, which has seen no fewer than 8 items break within the first 3,000 miles of ownership).

Finally Euro Vans are coming to the USA.. again [Hymer Active]. First time I saw that "pivot" shower was in the Adria. I was amazed then. Now I'm even more amazed that at least one US manufacturer is offering it. I'm going to go against the trend here; but I prefer the cassette toilet because of the flexibility when it comes to dumping it. Black tank is very limited on options to dump. Besides who wants to carry around 20 odd gallons of sewage and have hunt for a place to empty that thing. But hey; at least we in the U.S. are getting a choice for once. Good show Scott!

Looks great! A mix between a Roadtrek and a Hymer! I love it when manufacturers here import european ideas such as the vario wet bath (actually called vario in europe, not pivot), cassette toilet for not being compelled to empty on campground and that versatile table that in europe would be attachable on the outside of the camper as well. Missing however to be a truly inspired European design: screen door (not roll up net), night shades built-in to the cab for all cabin windows, bay windows (like the Hymer and some coachmen) that allows proper ventilation even when its raining and propane 2-burner stove (those that are contempt with one induction burner obviously don't cook!) So my question is... When are we getting a truly european designed camper-van (B-class) in North Armerica?? Hymer was to be the anwwer... :(

definitely a cool bathroom design. when the toilet is pivoted away, the size of the shower area looks really small. we have a wet bath and do not have a problem wiping down the bathroom if the toilet gets wet. personally i would prefer the extra room to the swivel gimmick. i am always amazed at these $200 K vans (i live in Canada) that have one induction stove, which means that everything you cook, has to be a one pot meal. not a fan of the cassette toilet. tiny fridge. cannot see myself pulling around my toilet waste and then suffering the activity and smells of emptying it. would it have been that difficult to have had a black tank?? making the bed will be a tumultuous effort. The design of the 3 pads in the back could definitely be improved. Airstream's new Ridgeline has a much better and easier way to convert the bed in the back of the van. i am sure that many people will buy this van. electrical system looks really good and the fact that you have the full extra bed on top is a huge plus for families travelling with kids. good luck to roadtrek.

Unfortunately the cassette toilet is why we won’t buy this next year and are going with the Travato GL. You still have to go to a dump station and do all the hoses, dumping, etc, for your grey tank but then hand dump your cassette 🤢 Literally dumping the black tank is pulling 1 extra lever and you mitigate the entire hand dumping a cassette process. Makes no sense to me why people and manufacturers don’t get that. Love the pop top. Put a black tank on this and we would buy it over the Travato. Even better, Travato GL makes a pop top 😉 Manufactures are making more cassettes because it is cheaper with less hardware, hoses, etc. This at the expense of convenience to the consumer.
@CJ30123 Жыл бұрын
people make total nightmare messes of dump stations. Daily leaks. Very often total overflows onto the cement. its basically a biohazard site. And you are walking in it and then back into your rig. Every manufacturer is getting away from them and its because of customer feedback. Not to mention for Class Bs specifically very very few people are pooping in their vans anyway.

Can't believe they are going back to pop tops. Had a VW pop top and the canvas was always a pain, had to dry it out thoroughly before packing it away, and the screens developed holes from all the folding/unfolding. Real issue here is the ridiculous price (who the hell would pay $187K for a camper???) and still crappy gas mileage. Some real innovation needs to come to the camper market.

Great design. But with a cassette toilet, it's a deal breaker. It is such a shame that the smaller RV's are getting away from a black tank. Emptying a cassette toilet is gross and you have to do it much, much more often! I have a class B now with a black tank and I would NEVER go backwards to a cassette. We are in the process of getting a custom built class B and it will have a black tank.

if anything the trend is toward laveo or urine diverting toilets. Most people want nothing to do with dump stations. They are some of the nastiest places you can be. If you ever witnessed people making a total mess of those areas youd never walk back in your rig with those shoes on again.

A shame they kept the front to back bed in the widest Promaster, this takes up valuable space where a bigger fridge could be placed. Imagine that great bathroom with a full size fridge, full size pull out pantry and more kitchen storage, with smaller full-size east/west bed instead. And I don't see batteries or fresh water tank inside the van, I assume they are underneath and more exposed.

Fresh tank is inside along the driver side under the bed. Batteries are in a heated sealed compartment.

600 amp-hours is meaningless to me. What is the total Useable Watt-Hours? Our Cahaba has 12,100 Useable Watt-Hours on board, meaning I could run a 1,000 Watt Hair Dryer for 12 hours before draining the battery in a steady state condition (no solar or pole power and nothing else drawing from the battery). Love the Bed and Bathroom on this one. Hate crawling over each other at night to use the bathroom. Indifferent about cassette toilet. Bourbon and electricity don't mix. Windows are very nice too. Could do without the poptop though.

Good on you both for mentioning the Chassis side too!

It’s approx 7250 WH of DC. If that helps.

Only poptop with lithium capability? Hmm.. No.. .. Not really.. Have the 2021 Thor 20A, with skybunk and 800ah lithium, it exist already. Do like the pivotimg bath and better interior but layout is same as Solis PX or Thor 20A. For that MSRP I have a Thor 20A, skybunk with 800ah lithium and a 2022 Tesla Model LR.. Lol..

Richard, you must have first person expereince pooping and peeing in a cassette toilet and then emptying it? I completely disagree with you

the lower beds seem too high to serve as a sofa/sitting area? Scott: your camer work is too jerky/fluid. Getting dizzy watching this

Nice rv but that shower's so small he can't even wash his feet.

Shower was rather roomy compared to other Van showers. Have you seen this Urban Camping video I did, kzbin.info/www/bejne/epLQgJSIpLmmZrM

Ram reliability is one of the worst on the market .Not very smart choice of the platform because it will spend most of the time in the garage.

Hi Chris. 115,000 miles on my Winnebago Travato Promaster-based RV… and really 0 issues hauling my ass and 8,600 pounds of house around
