2023 Planner Line-up!!

Yes, this is my favorite time of year.. when we all start getting our planner lineup together for the new year! So, here's my lineup, and I'm excited and ready to get them set up for the new year!

I'm using the Celestial Monthly, I prefer doing list for daily tasks, and insert plain paper to set up my weekly fitness; the Gold/Black horizontal is replacing my daily journal (I was using a journal from EC for 2022); for my on the go, I redated inserts from paper studio and created a half sheet planner for my Coach notebook. Oh, I bought an 18-month twin-loop dashboard layout from Michaels for $3.49, I'm using that as my health journal. Thanks for sharing your line-up.

Yea, I love that Celestial monthly. And I was thinking about switching my horizontal for the gold/black coiled horizontal since I use it for journaling, but I didn't realize it was a horizontal until after I got the other one. My Michael's didn't have much of anything from the spring collection left. Happy I was able to snag that 18 month planner from HP for $8 😊

I’ve got my line up set I think. I am a frankenplanner myself. I use mostly vertical layouts. I tried a teacher layout that I got on great clearance price. I shave used it as sort of a fitness journal and meal planner but doubt I will replace it for 2023. It just didn’t help me much. I am planning to use my stash of planner pieces to make my work planner, budget and fitness planners. I use the Happy Planner for all of them. I add some Budget Mom pages in the budget one. I may change to a dashboard for my fitness at some point. We will see. I have the Le Fleur vertical classic for my catch all for 2023. So far that’s the only new one I bought.

That's when I try different layouts, when I find them heavily discounted. I wasn't going to add the dashboard, but it was $8, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it. I didn't mind using the dashboard for fitness, it was okay. And I LOVE that La Fleur planner! That planner was one that was definitely close to being my catchall.

2022 is the first year I stuck with one planner. A dashboard layout. I liked it, but I need to decorate more and the dashboard was more of a list planner. In the past I’ve tried everything happy planner and I bought an excessive amount of all the things. For 2023 I shopped my stash. All things undated. I am going to frankenplan. I’m going to try a monthly for my catch-all, as well as incorporate daily sheets when needed. If that doesn’t work I will incorporate the seasonal 2023 vertical. One of the purchases I made for 2023. I am a beachbody coach, so for that portion of work related I am using the goals extension pack,I will try it for 4 months. For the fitness portion of my life, which is a huge part of my life I am using an undated fitness extension pack. For the first time I’ve decided to journal, so I purchased the self-care happy box we’ll see how that goes. Everything seems to be trial and error, but I am committed to doing better in 2023!

Yea, u have to try things to see what works for you. It took me a couple of yrs to find what I needed. Our lives change too.. what we needed one year may not be something that'll work in the new year. I love the period of finding out what works though.. sometimes it's not a particular layout or planner. Sometimes it's a little of this and a little of that. I totally get it. And that self care box has been calling me! Lol! I'm trying to resist, but I may break down and get it.

You are not alone. I was a frankenplanner, but at this point in my life, I am in separate books. Even got some twin loops!!

I am usually a one planner kind of gal as in I need everything in one spot. For 2022, I just used one big catch-all starting with a vertical and finding my true love of the dashboard. But for 2023, I am TRYING frankenplanning.

I love the dashboard too.. are u frankenplanning your vertical with a dashboard? Or are u using other layouts as well?

@boobieplansherlyfe I am using the dashboard as my main and a wellness layout for wellness and a vertical for journaling. I use my monthly calendar for budget along with my own budget worksheet that I created. I want to use the monthly layout SO SO badly for goal setting but they didn't make a neutral one in the big.

@April Sippy ohh ok.. It sounds like you're ready for the new year. I'm thinking about switching one of my planners (not the layout, but the physical planner). I gotta solidify my planners so I can set them up before the new year starts 🤦🏽‍♀️

I like taking bits and pieces from different planners to make it work for me, like mixing the monthly layout with my faith planner. I still consider it 1 planner. As of now, my lineup has 6 planners I think. We'll see if it changes in the next few weeks lol.

How do u use the monthly layout in your faith? I tried using the HP faith planners, but I need more room to write. Do u use each planner separately?

@@meikasplanningcorner I was using the lined vertical instead of the faith layout, but im switching to the faith layout this year. So, for those first two pages, I write out the goals for the month and put notes of things I want to remember from faith related videos I've watched. The checklist pages were 3 main points from my scripture reading from the day. The lined vertical pages were notes of the chapter from the Bible I read. This time, I plan on using the checklist pages for complementary scriptures that go with the scripture of the day, and using the faith layout as is. I put the monthly layout then the faith pages together, and use adhesive to glue the pages I don't need together.

@Andrea Weaver Coleman I love that idea! I may have to try that for myself. I've heard people say that they use the lined vertical for faith. It would be better because it's just 1 box per day instead them all being split.

For the most part I have my 2023 lineup. There are a few stragglers 😂 (extension packs) that I’m not sure about but they’re undated so I can use and add them whenever. I don’t have a specific “budget planner” I’m using the monthly layout as a budget planner and it’s working. There is something about HP budget planners that’s missing the mark and I’m not sure what it is. Also, I’m a frankenplanner and it works for me as long as I have each section/layout tabbed, but I get why it doesn’t work for you. Great video! It’s so much fun watching what others are using.

Yup, I'll add extension packs to my planner throughout the year as well. Yea, I'm gonna give it another go with the HP budget and if I fall off again this year, I'll just get some inserts from a small shop and call it a day. Ahh, you're a frankenplanner 😊 I really wish I could do it too because I do like the idea of everything all together, but if I do it none of the other planners would be used after the 1st couple of months 😂😂 how many planners are u using for next year?

I’ll be using a classic size vertical (creative), horizontal (journaling/faith planning), monthly (budget) a Big dashboard (home/catch all ). For work a half letter, and a mini for on the go edc. The classics will be frankenplanned the others will be separate. Sounds like a lot but it worked for 2022 with the exception of the Big dashboard that will be new for me in 2023. If I think about the extension packs I’ll get overwhelmed 😂 so they are put away if and when I need them.

@Alicia Moore oh ok..see, and all those planners work for you. That's how I feel. It's a lot, but I use all of them, and they all have a purpose 😊 dare I say, planner peace? Lol

@BoobiePlansHerLyfe believe it or not I find planner peace in my mini and half letter. The others are needed for me to keep up with appointments, plans, and bills. It's complicated but it's not 😂🤦🏾‍♀️

Great line up! I am using classic dashboard for my catch all.... I have a section for my year in pixel pages....and I am using the same financial planner as you. My fitness planner I may switch to the new fitness journal HP has out.

I love your line up!!!! I need to do the same thing on m end. I thought about franken planning, but I don't even know how to put that together right now. Still new to the planner life lol. So right now, I am doing each planner on it's own. You reminded me, I need a budget planner.

The game changer for me with the budget planner was inserting a budgeting worksheet. PlanwithIlysse has one in her etsy shop. Also I liked a few of The Budget Mom worksheets. I printed some of them directly on the dot grid pages in my planner

I used a mini budget last year too.. I felt like maybe since it was smaller I would stick with it. Nope. That lasted a few months and I stopped using that one too lol!

Love this lineup. Frankenplanning didn't work for me. Too much going on. I'm still figuring out my lineup. Had to downsize from HP Classic to HP mini. Yes, I'm headed over to watch your setup video.

Same. Frankenplanning is a no for me too. I love my mini too, it's become my favorite lol! I'm happy to say that so far, my lineup is still intact.

Yea, I agree.. the minis in the fall release were all filled with so much color. I'm glad I picked up the undated earlier in the yr

Yessss the monthly layout planner is all about the dashboard pages. 😂😂 they’ve been putting it out for a few years but it’s not super popular with PWMs because it’s such a weird layout.

Right! They should have other planner layouts with those pages in the beginning of each month. Yea, nobody really decorates those to do lists pages. But have they always had those monthly overview pages in them?

YES!!!!! I actually didn’t purchase one, but I purchased the six pack of folders and I’m absolutely in love with them :). I hope they release one every springtime or something…(Hey, I’m allowed to at least wish for it lol :-))

All of your planners are absolutely beautiful! I especially love the colorful tiles planner with the pretty green discs! And the horizontal planner….and the black and gold planner OMG! I can’t wait to see how you decorate them! I’m a frankenplanner but thinking about separating my planners out for 2023. One nice thing about separate planners is that you can truly enjoy each beautiful planner cover as you use them. With frankenplanning, you have only one cover. Thanks for sharing! God bless❤️

I tried Frankenplanning. The monthly prep was too time consuming for me so after 3 months I decided to use my planners separately. It's been great. Limited prep and I'm able to get started immediately.

That's true, too! Prepping your planner every month or so does take time. And since I had so many planners, I had to use the expander discs. I wasn't a fan of how big my planner had become, lol!
