2023 Planner Setup || Catch-All & Work || The Happy Planner

I work from home as a medical coder, so my work notes on paper are very minimal due to safety of patient information and the virtual nature of my job, but I still like to jot down production notes for myself and emails that need sent. So I get wanting that all in one planner and combining the daily sheets on types of tasks home vs work. These are great/fun sections to have in your planner!

Yes! I think any time that you work from home, combining the two planner on a daily sheet really makes sense for how your day might be structured.

I chose the new stress layout for my creative journal this year. I am excited (and nervous) about the change and would love to see how others are using it! I also chose a dashboard layout for my catch all (I switched from a vertical).

The dashboard is super functional, so I can totally see that as a catch-all. I'm also new to this layout for creative journaling, but I am looking forward to switching it up and giving it a try. I will do my best to share on here from time to time!

Oh thank you for showing how you actually set up your planner. I get mired down in all the different sections when I need to keep it simple, I am totally homebound and don't need many of the planning options BUT you know that want to thing... 😁

Nice set up. You have inspired me to put my discs in my containers too. I have three of those containers I got them years ago, which use to house my thousands of rolls of washi; when I was obsessed with washi. Now, I'm over washi but not over the disc bounds system. TFS Be Blessed.

Wow! That’s a lot but is a good setup I always wanted to set up a planner like this but will see. I use 3, 1 for everything and then a Faith one and a memory one. Which is a Big size so wouldn’t be able to combine with my classics ❤

Look for JLB crafts here on YT. She did lists of words for each week to match the letters being learned, which was super helpful.

I can totally see why you would want the home and work together. If you feel like it is too much maybe the lettering, wellness and creative journal can live in a separate one that you only bring with you when you need or want it.

Tfs. I'm working on putting together my HP classic catch-all for 2023. My 2 work planners are separate, a softbound EC vertical for my main job & smaller softbound horizontal for my per diem job. I just want to put some decor in/on those 2. I also have to do my goals/vision board and settle on my word of the year.

I enjoy watching how you use all the parts & pieces, your salad mixing(my term), your Franken-planning. I use disc punched 5.5x8.5 ruled pages that I use as 2 page dailies (left & right) with a set of categories of info for my life important to capture, along with hourly (6am - bedtime) and space to capture more details on things, observations, etc. I've been labeling the categories and dating the pages etc by hand for ages. I'm finding it harder to find 2 page dailies or lined refills(disc) as well the time to label these pages due to life stuff, of course! As I have to personalize them, etc. I checked out the PlumPaper -love that, tfs. Covers, etc ❤️ However theirs are just single page dailies. Anyone know of others? I'm willing to change size to the Happy classic 9 disc if necessary. Searching YT was too much a rabbit hole- like looking at grass roots intertwined under the the lawn... Thanks in advance!

I know that this year, I am pre-creating a lot of my own custom sticker labels to save me time on re-labeling certain sections of my planner. That might be helpful to you, wither to make your own sticker labels or order from a shop. Also, maybe creating your own printable layout might be effective as well! I don't know of a 2 page daily off hand....

OK, I’m just confused… The inserts on your website, do they work in the happy planner? I get confused because, from what I can tell, the inserts you sell are smaller than the happy planner, but you use the happy planner, so how does that work?

Hey Lisa - my inserts correspond to the exact sizes of the Happy Planner spreads. My "tall" is the same as the HP "mini". My "grande" is the same size as the HP "classic". And my "venti" is the same size as the HP "big". Hope that helps :)
