There’s a good chance the UFC never forks over the cash for a superstar again. There’s just no incentive for them to pay any ONE guy that much. ESPN receives the PPV sales cash in turn paying out the ufc in a set amount per year. Mega stars only stand to cost the ufc millions in salary pay out, with a limited extra return. Of coarse that’s over simplified.

Just another donk's predictions for UFC 2023: Figueredo defeats Moreno by decision, loses the belt to Pantoja late 2023 and moves up to BW (probably in 1st quarter 2024). BW is hard to predict, but I think Aljo defends the belt against O'Malley or Vera by sub, to then lose to Henry Cejudo. Featherweight has Volkanovski stay champ, although he has at least one scare in his defense against Allen. Makhachev retains the title against Volkanovski in a split decision; is finished by Dariush late in the year. Edwards retains the title by decision against Usman; loses late in the year to Colby or Khamzat. Pereira fights Adesanya and wins again, loses to Whittaker. Glover defeats Jamahal Hill but is rocked bad early; loses to either Ankalaev or a returning Jiri by KO. If Ngannou comes back and fights Jones he wins by KO. If Jones doesnt fight Ngannou defeats Sergei Pavlovich but is dropped on rd 2. Late 2023 defends against Gane in the rematch by KO within 2. If Ngannou doesnt return to UFC, Stipe gets shafted and quietly retires; Pavlovich vs Gane for the vacant title.
