Unfortunately, front lockers are not available, and the winch is only available on the gas model, not the Cummins. No worries about 20" wheels, I'll just up the tires to 37" Toyo 13.5, which will have plenty of wheel to tire spacing to air down to 20 for off-roading. Just have to be careful with the extra Cummins weight when off roading in case you get into off-camber situations going down hill so the weight doesn't drag you, or deep mud situations.

It all comes down to how you intend to use this truck. If your doing mostly heavy towing on the highway or well maintained dirt roads, then the diesel is for you. If you’re doing ranch or farm work that requires hauling heavy loads in off road conditions such as pastures, hayfields, or muddy roads, then the 6.4 is for you. The last thing you want when hauling hay or horse trailers in those situations is a diesel. The weight will bury you in soft conditions, and you don’t want the gas if you’re towing heavy loads over long distances, the fuel costs will kill you.

The gas version of this truck has the 6.4 Hemi and the ZF8 transmission. The 6.4 has proven to be very durable and dependable, unlike the Ford 7.3. The ZF8 transmission is all but bulletproof. It’s used in many other vehicles such as Porsche and Rolls Royce. $80,000 is a lot of money, but this is a lot of truck. You can also buy a Tradesman, XL, or a Sierra for a lot less. You don’t have to spend 80 grand.

There is no mechanical shift linkage anymore on any truck. It’s all electronic whether it’s a column shifter or a dial. The reason for the dial is merely to save space. If you don’t like the dial, it’s only aesthetic, it’s doing the same thing as the column shifter.

I've heard that the biggest disadvantage of Ram Boxes are that they take bed space.

Hi, I have a 1500 Rebel with Ram box. I can tell you from experience, that they do not take away from bed space. They add in another way that things you may keep in a typical toolbox over the bed, which does take up space, is that you can keep a lot of stuff inside the Ram box. I keep things like tools, a floor jack, fishing gear, and much more. It is one of the main reasons I will only buy a truck with one. Hope this helps

If you get with the gas you get a dial shifter unbelievable a dial I can’t understand why ram is keeping the dial it’s a truck not a Chrysler 300 😢

I love the dial shifter on my 2019 rebel 1500. No clunking and the electronic/automatic emergency brake. The electronic shifter is just like the digital shift and throttle on my Sea Ray Express Cruiser boat. I think it was a great innovation.
