Although I admit I did not know this SPECIFIC word yet I call NOVELLE an ESS TRAP. I love ESS TRAPPING my opponents. Play a non phony that does NOT take an S but LOOKS LIKE IT DOES and then hope that they try to pluralize it so that I can challenge it off the board. The flip side to an S trap is that if I know it does not take an S but they don't I can either get a bonus turn after I challenge their attempt to plural off OR MAKE PLURAL MYSELF AND THEY WON'T KNOW TO CHALLENGE.
