Very nice truck. I followed you very closely when you went from the diesel to the 7.3L. I ended up ordering my '21 F350 XLT with a 7.3l gasser. NO REGRET's ! I was going to get a F250 but could not get it with a 3.73 rear. My options were 3.55 or 4.30. For $1700 I went to the F350 & gained 1k# load cap & 3.73. Well worth the $$$ Since 90% of my miles are towing a 8400# tt I'm really glad I did. I've had the 3.55 before. Empty it was fine, but towing it was just not working for me. Nut for nut; bolt for bolt F250 vs F350 are identical except the overload spring & rear gear option. I installed wheel well liners, shorty antenna, dampening strut to the tailgate, Weather teck's..

@@kingrider75 when I was going thru the gymnastics of ordering a new truck (7.3l gas); I found in '20, '21 & '22 the overload was only on the F250 Tremor or the F350. I guess it could be a dealer add or aftermarket? I did look at ordering the F250 & then adding it later. It was the same cost & you do not get the certified higher load cap. For me, it wasn't the overload, it was the 3.73 rear that I wanted and it was not an option on the F250.

There is no AI with the parking brake; whenever you use the zoom for the trailer view, the truck knows at that point you're trying to hitch up and applies the parking brake. That's nice, but ideally the parking brake would apply every time you drop into park regardless of hooking up or not. You're stopping, in park, truck can't/shouldn't move anyway, just apply the brake automatically. My ram works that way though it can be turned off I don't see why somebody wouldn't want it to auto apply. I've used handbrakes and parking brakes every time I park (like we're supposed to) for like 30 years now so having it automatically set instead is just one less thing to think about.

Very fair point. I do like to point out a few things about the gifts. 1. Sometimes when folks use their own money they feel the need to defend the product OR have unrealistic expectations from the product. Having nothing invested I feel like I can give a bit better perspective. 2. I've done a few vids blasting gifts I have received... haha. 3. Many of the videos I do with the freebies are simply to introduce you guys to a new, quality product. Everyone's tastes and preferences are different. I don't want to limit the channel to only things I find useful. If its good quality at a fair price I am happy to introduce it. All of this said I completely understand your point. Its a fine line to walk. In the end the viewers trust is ALWAYS #1.

That constant resetting of the 12" display is a common problem. I owned a 21 F-150 and now a 22 F-150 and they both had the issue you talk of. Both also had a problem with changing radio stations on their own. The 22 has a random problem with the bluetooth connection and my phone. Often incoming phone calls are so scratchy sounding I have to hang up and call the person back. Seems like each time Ford does an over the air update to the system new issues arise. The last straw was when it somehow forgot I had a trailer attached after pulling away from a rest stop, and had a chair fall of from camper in front of us went to brake and swerve and where were my brakes? I had no trailer brakes. Few weeks later it happened again pulling out of storage, had done the whole set up screen froze and no trailer brakes pulling up to a light 55mph. The low rpm torque of the 7.3 and the 10 speed is awesome. If only it could have an exhaust brake 😂

I love that aftermarket Superduty rock/bug guard. Is it adhesive? Can you send me the link to get one? Thanks so much. 👍

I also have 2019 6.7 F350 Lariet. I hate the adaptive steering. Always fighting me to turn back to neutral. Or just driving around making turns in the city after a long day at work. I ordered a 2024 xlt and I pray the steering is easier or I won't take it. I'll go with Chev. their 2024 3500 has such easy steering. I was shocked.

Is the rear seat cover in the description? I looked on the Amazon store you guys have and would love to purchase one, it may be there but I couldn’t find it. Let me know which brand seems to fit very well. Thanks!

Thanks for the video, it was quite informative. I just bought my first super duty, 2023 F250 Lariat Sport in Azure Grey, super crew and 8' bed, and really don't know anything about it other than that. Well, it has the 7.3 engine. I decided to buy a the truck before the RV, that way I can get the proper sized RV for the truck. Otherwise my truck is a luxury grocery getter and hobbiest tool. I work from home otherwise I would have had to be more responsible.

Wow, nice truck. I wish they'd put some of that fancy stuff in the Chevy Express vans. I guess they assume it's going to be a work vehicle and workers don't need luxuries 🙄 Love the van as our TV, but it would be nice to have some fancier amenities.

My 2005 is getting old but after 500k on the motor regular oil change air filters fuel filters. The only problem I had was the ecm. I can't complain other than that

A beautiful truck; Like the Monochromatic look; Our F150 2023 XLT does bring the Dual A/C in the 302A package. Here in South FLA for us, it matters when your wife and myself our at two different temperatures lol....Now my ride quality is awesome. I feel at least for the 250 or 350 the step ladder should be standard. My Previous GMC had a standard deep corner step-in corner bumpers that was helpful. Now I have to carry a little folding step. Anyway, like your straight-up honest review.

It’s not AI for the trailer hitch and auto park brake. It’s when you switch camera views to see the ball from the top. Also make sure that when you connect trailer you make sure it goes onto your specified trailer. It was a 50/50 shot most of the time the truck defaulted to the default trailer and none of the features aka blind spot/navigation won’t know you have your grand design back there.

Love this video! I'm currently shopping for this exact truck so this was super helpful! I've been trying to compare/contrast the 7.3 Godzilla vs the Powerstroke Diesel and I think for me personally I'm leaning the Godzilla but I was curious more of why you went to the diesel and back to gas again? Thanks again!

Love that, looking to trade in my 2021 7.3 for a 23 maybe 24 lariat. I love the sport package like you got but ford drives me nuts that if you get the sport pkg. you can not get the tow package. I want the sport because the non sport looks hideous, but I must have the tow package.
@WanderingWeekends Жыл бұрын
This one has the payload upgrade and tow tech package. Really don’t need a trans cooler for these Imagines.

@@WanderingWeekends I was after the extra spring and the rear anti-sway bar. Once you put the sport package on it removes and snow plow/camper packages.

I wish I would've ordered one with 3.73 gears back when I bought my truck., but those 3.55's got some pretty good fuel mileage (empty) when I was up in the Texas Panhandle a few weeks ago. I hope your dealer is better than the ones I've been to. Congrats on the new ride!!
@gregparrott Жыл бұрын
If I correctly read your comment, you have an F250 (or F350?) with the 7.3 gasser and 3.55 gears. I am considering switching from my 2017 F350 SRW, 6.7 Diesel to the 7.3 gas engine. My assumption was that given 10 speeds, the 3.55 would be fine for light (~5,000 lbs) and also infrequent towing (~10% of the time) would be fine. But you comment, plus several others, as well as this video favor the 3.73. Can you explain why? I assume that 10th gear with 3.55 will yield optimal fuel economy, and if 10th gear struggles at all when pulling a trailer, it will just use 9th gear. Is that argument a weak one?

That's a good looking truck! I'm not a Ford guy, not really any "brand" guy, but I would consider one if I were in the market. My 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 has been treating me good though. I'd be in a 2020 F250 7.3 if the two Ford dealers I went to didn't try to absolutely bend me over on my trade. Funny enough I bought my Ram used with 15k on it from a different Ford dealer. Think my next truck will be a F250. Really want to experience the 7.3.....if Ram doesn't come out with something new to replace the 6.4. What I'm REALLY getting at, all these new trucks are just solid. As long as it's not a diesel. LOL

i've came across your channel while doing research for my new super duty. I do not tow anything 99% of the time, and i have never owned a diesel truck. Would you recommend or persuade someone to get a diesel vs gas? would it make sense in my case, and does it require more maintenances for diesel with DEF?
