Why is Anish rapid so bad compared to classical and blitz?

He's definitely not that bad, I've been watching the head to head lately between him and Mvl there's only a +3 for Mvl (20 vs 17) in rapid/blitz. Isn't Mvl world blitz champion and the 2nd best elo behind Carlsen ?!

@@bobbymorane5166 Anish is 2700 rapid and 2771 classical and 2807 blitz. He plays alot of rapid tournaments so its not a matter of lack of games played. There seems to be a huge disparity for some reason

@@ndnd7614 Certainly I confused rapid and blitz, we all have our favorite cadences it's the same for Giri (all things considered) I guess he is more comfortable in blitz and classical than in rapid, for some including for the GM there can be a big difference, Caruana even if at the moment his elo blitz is beyond 2800 has always been much stronger in classical than in blitz, there is no real explanation.I think there is a question of time management that he can't control or that suits him less, it's a too hybrid format compared to the classical parts and the blitz ?!
