Looks great..another Suzuki winner. Back in the olden days when I passed my test I bought a GSXR 750 slabside as my first bike.... and still here to tell the tale ! And have had 3 Gixer 750's in my time. Even though I love my Triumphs, I always like a Suzuki . Well made, punchy performance and always with those lighthouse sized indicators ! Suzuki are really in touch with trends and as fewer people buy sports bikes this design fits the bill it you don't want to go down the adventure bike route. Great commuter bike especially with the low rev facility..or even just for less skilled riders (!) in stop start traffic. The replaceable frame is an excellent idea..I often wondered why this was not designed years ago..A friend of mine recently wrote off his Africa twin first time out on it as the frame was slightly twisted (freak accident) - aren't they all ! Electronics seem straight forward and not overly fussy or complicated. Nice.Typically Suzuki colour scheme..bold and daring with a refreshing twist.The servicing plan sounds great initially, but if on a budget consider the total cost in dealership hourly labour costs and OEM parts. Are you realistically going to keep a bike up to 70,000 miles ? From the age of 16 I have always done service and repairs myself. It's not rocket science. Just have a go. Can't wait to see you screw the mammary glands off it ! 🏍

Hi Kate, think i preferred the colour combo as tested😊.. The service warranty is a massive advantage as are A2 compliance, but Suzuki have gone above and beyond with slipper clutch, quickshift and the low rev system👌🏻. Think this will sell really well. Hope you have enjoyed buzzing around on it too 🤗👍🏻

I bought a black one after testing both it and the Hornet. It's a bike that's not going to convince anyone who's buying on price or specs, but I couldn't deny that I way preferred riding the Suzuki.

Hope your going to do a ride review. Got to sit on one at the local dealer a couple of weeks ago and very attractive in person IMO. Still deciding between this, the Duke 790, and a Hornet but live in the US so will have to wait till next season when Honda finally should release the Hornet for sale here.
@sugarandt Жыл бұрын
I’m in the US as well waiting for them to get to the Seattle area. No indication we’re getting the Hornet yet. All but one of the comparo reviews I’ve seen put the 8s on top over the Hornet and 790.
@richardwarsinske7064 Жыл бұрын
@@sugarandt Experience has taught me the best bike is not always the most fun bike. The many video reviews I've seen do suggest the GSX 8S is the better overall bike but reading between the lines the Hornet IMO seems to be more entertaining for the reviewers. My needs/wants also prioritize the Hornet's rowdy engine and small size over the Suzuki's better chassis and looks.
@sugarandt Жыл бұрын
I’ve never bought a bike that at least some reviewers haven’t called fun. All the reviews I’ve seen of the 8s have used the word fun as well. Although the Hornet does seem to be more like the FZ/MT-07 in regards to it’s ease of wheelies, and as a current FZ owner I may miss that if I buy an 8s and sell my FZ. Sound reasoning, can’t argue with that. I hope we do get the Hornet next year.
@richardwarsinske7064 Жыл бұрын
@@sugarandt FZ/MT-07 like rowdy nature is exactly what I'm looking for and the Hornet is the only bike I've heard described as being more fun than that Yamaha model! I've seen and sat on a blue GSX 8S and it's stunning and I'm sure fun but other comments like more mature , runs out of breath at high RPM, and short-shift for best acceleration make me think the Hornet is more what I'm looking for (though I'm also sure I'd be happy with the Suzuki!).

Thanks Kate, Having owned an earlier Hornet 600 I had been waiting eagerly for the latest Hornet 750. That bike and this Suzuki seemingly capable machines yet both seem absent of IMU technology either standard or optional If looking to buy a new bike in or close to this mid naked class then I would be placing the IMU equipped KTM 890 Duke at top of my list to test ride. Hi Kate was really excited to get your view on this bike and look forward to future videos on the topic. I own a BMW F900R and as a former Suzuki owner and fan of Suzuki thought that this bike could be the middle weight naked winner. My concern for this bike is (1) the Brakes, will those rubber hoses and and non Brembos give you the bite your looking for (2) I think this bike will be about 20 to 30 bhp down on power from where you really want it to be. I would really appreciate your feedback in future videos and would be great to get your thoughts. Is this a learner bike or is this a real world sensible commuter / Sunday hack bike?
