2023 Suzuki S-Presso 1.0 AGS Review: Solid starter car for PHP 660k

When Suzuki first launched the S-Presso a few years ago, it only came with a manual transmission. Now that a more convenient auto gear shift is being offered along with added smartphone connectivity, is the Suzuki S-Presso AGS a more attractive hatchback for first-time car buyers? mine s.presso vxi+ags is 3years and 4 months old[bought in 15 th of July 2020] covered exactly 91,880 Kilometers with a tank to tank average of 23.28km/litre. In centre console it shows 25.9km/litre. so far no issues. The negativity I found was at night time driving in Dimm the head light throw is very limited. apart from that a superb car for middle income families. I will upload a compehensive video clip when I cover 100,000 KM.

From India-travelled in an Spresso at 125kmph on the expressway. Although there is risk, we really dont feel it. Its built well and quite stable. Best value for money car. Best visibility & manoeuvrability. Great driving position & ground clearance to handle all types of roads.

Every car has its downside even Toyota., My friends got wigo and innova and they regret getting those as they were having issues and headaches. My older brother has the new wigo 2024 and after he tried my Spresso ags, he eventually wanted for a car swap. He ended up selling his wigo for less the price and bought an Suzuki Spresso AGS.

@@patrickdomingo1819 NVH is undesirable at randam mo talaga ang gulong lalo na sa highway at mga lubak lubak. I tried both driver and passenger pero really uncomfortable talaga. Unlike sa spresso na ang tahimik sa loob at dahil sa highground clearance very comfortable.

How do you put the transmission in park?

You don't. An AGS is a "clutchless" manual so you shift it back to Neutral and use the parking brake.

you can easily install a 4k Dashcam on your rear view mirror use it as reverse camera or a rear camera while driving.

It needs a rear wiper. A hatchback has no separate 'trunk' behind it. So the turbulence is maximum behind the rear windshield. In rainy weather, it would certainly cause dirt, grime and water to splash on it. Due to this the windshield needs cleaning.

Yes. Casa service price is not steep and service is transparent and clear. Spare parts (original) is also readily available for Celerio. Checked 3rd party casa-like service and price is almost the same, so I'm sticking to casa.

Automated Manual Transmissions (AMT's) are obsolete and I don't know why Suzuki is using them. In the early 2000's, exotic brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini were using AMT's and maintenance was brutal not to mention expensive. A Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo needed a clutch replacement every 10,000 miles (16,000 km's) with normal use and sooner when you went to the track. The S-Presso AGS, as well as the Dzire AGS, would need a clutch replacement after 50,000 to 100,000 km's, depending on how you use it, just like any other manual transmission car.

This car has a 1/5 NCAP safety rating. U get what you pay for.

the public are riding puvs with balding and mismatch wheels, open windows, no doors, with drivers that were seemingly trained to drive by arcade games, some even have radiators that are cooled regularly by pouring water from a hose that is located beside the driver. so yeah 1/5 is a lot safer 😅

@@thew5611 I am not sure if a 10 to 30 peso jeepney ride is a proper comparison to a 660k purchase. Maybe there is no statistic for it but I have a hunch that Suzukis that get into car accidents lead to more fatalities and injuries vs other brands. Add also the fact that people in general do not even take safety into a car purchase because they automatically assume its pretty much safe, which is not the case at all when you see how Suzukis look when they get into an accident. Tin can.

it doesnt compare but as you said you get what you pay for. expectedly budget cars are not as well equipped as more expensive cars but in a 3rd world country like ours the comfort of driving my own budget car is way more better than utulizing public transpo even if it means safety is compromised or i have cheap plastic interior, etc but its way better than the experience of riding puvs.

The Suzuki S-Presso AGS 2023 has an NCAP rating of 3/5 just like the WIGO. The one with 1/5 where the older 2020 models plus it is way safer than riding a motorcycle. With 660k SRP dont expect the quality of a 2.5 Million Fortuner.
