Really good video! I think I'm waiting for the road going version though. Some markets call it 800RE, USDM I think is just going to call it 800 (no DE). I'm honest with myself that I will probably never go offroad more than a gravel/dirt farm road so I prefer tubeless tires. Thanks again!

I like this informative video. The rev setting is cool as I will need this when I pick up my 800RE as it was something I wasn't sure about. 👍

Hey thanks man for that update… I just took delivery of my bike yesterday and the dealer had no clue how to operate any of this stuff since they’re a husky and KTM centric kind of shop so this really helped out man… Go blue

Fantastic video! The manual frustratingly doesn't say how to enter the settings menu by pressing and holding UP on the odometer reading. Thanks from across the pond 👍

It’s the Givi PL3112 from my VS 650XT that I had to make my own support braces. My next video will show you. Givi will come out with the bike-specific plate & braces soon. I was just too impatient to wait lol.

I put Rox risers on. 1.5" up/1" back. If I knew better, I would've just gotten 1" up risers.

good to know but how to reset trip 1 or 2 to zero? and what is for the little P near lock when u turn it off, just noticed that the lights stays on..
@due51outdoors6 ай бұрын
Hold the DOWN button on the selector switch for 2 seconds to reset the trip odomters. On the key tumbler, you can lock the handlebars OR you can lock with the light on. Not sure why anyone would want to do that, but Suzuki gives you that capability lol

Do you know how to reset the service light. I am thinking to do my own service to my bike

I have a video on it. Changing the oil and resetting the service light.

How was it mounting the top case? Did you get the Suzuki base plate or can you just use the included hardware?
@due51outdoors6 ай бұрын
It's a Givi plate that I had mounted on my VS 650XT. The mounting holes in the plate line up with the holes in the plastic luggage rack. I did, however, fab up some support braces using 1/2" tube to help hold the weight of my top case.

How are the vibes on the footpegs especially. Im reading more and more re complaints in this regard.
@due51outdoors Жыл бұрын
@arc001 the pegs are the least noticeable. The clutch lever is the buzziest at 5000rpm then smooths out some at 5500. Pegs don’t bother really.
@arc001 Жыл бұрын
@due51outdoors OK, thanks. Do you feel that vibes are more than you expected or acceptable?. When these bikes arrive in my country, apparently, there won't be a demo version.. Honda has the transalp, my alternative, ready to demo. That's how you win sales. I do prefer the 800de but if I can't demo it then I'll have to go with transalp.

@@arc001 I rode 100 miles at 70mph (~5000RPM) and it wasn’t intolerable. It’s not bad enough to turn me off.

The trans alsow buzzing but all the time. But the vstrom got it from5000. To 5500 then slowly off

I haven't done it because I don't ride at night too much. There's a thread on stromtrooper.com in the 800 DE subforum.

oh just a heads up, do not leave these films on screens, for whatever reason it can end up damaging the displays on some products!
