All your other installments (different screens) have been connecting to the connectors at the base of the centre console why have you had to connect up front under the dash with this install?

Your reviews and installation procedures are great. I am wondering if I connected a HUD ( Touch pad with Apple Car play ) over the steering wheel, can I also install a rear entertainment system also? Or can only one system be installed on a Tesla model Y ? Thank you.

Hi. It’s seem like both have to connect to the same port from front MCU. I not sure if that’s is possible as I have never tried it myself on Model Y. I would suggest to get 7” embedded rear display which connects to rear port at rear center console and front display connects to front MCU plug. Help!!!! I can't remove the air vent. I removed the torx screws and the clips on the sides, but i don't see any clips towards the bottom near the usb c ports. I've tried to jiggle it out, tried to find the clips but i don't see it. I have a 2023 MY

What about Tesla warranty with units fitted to the electric side of the car

It's Plug and Play unit. I didn't have to cut or take away any part of original electrical components at all. If there is any issue I would just remove the display unit before contacting Tesla service. I don't have definite answer regarding Tesla warranty. Thank you for watching! It seems like this monitor is the best in terms of position and size. How much space is it on each side from the seats? I’m hoping for a 10 inch version or similar.

@@dadstoyscars No, you’re right. But still. It seems like it’s 8.8" vs 7.2 in the others. Seems like a better deal. There’s a 7.5 coming with adjustable vents, that might be the best compromise. Also has Full HD. I just hope there’ll be a possibility to disable functions, I don’t need all the fan control from the rear.

It should clear the seat but I don’t have it installed in my car anymore so I can’t ready test for you. All 2022-2023 cars are AMD, 2021 and older are Intel processors. You can also check on you car. Go to car main menu bottom left > software > additional vehicle information. It will show infotainment processor.

No average man can fit his hand up there to disconnect the MDU. And he skips over all of the different wire connections. I've tried every possible combination and none of the wires connect to each other.

@@dadstoyscars I contacted support and they got me the correct installation procedure for my 2022 Model 3 LR. It was much simpler. Everything for the installation is in the rear of the center console. Thanks.
