interesting that yours came with the power brick cable with one end split into two cables for battery connection. mine came with ac/dc three prong male to connect to mains supply

PSA, you can plug a 120v computer cord into that thing and fry it. Pretty much everybody pulls it out and put in a dedicated 12v style connector to prevent any shenanigans. Also no filter and mine had standard green craptastic fuel line. My 90 wouldn't slip in or over the exhaust tubing. It's a big hassle for me. The output hot air is 75mm and pretty flush, hard to get a clamp on. I'm using a silicone ring to sort of extend the snout as it were. I ordered new fuel lines, filter and weaseled it all back in, swapped the power port out for some andersons called it a day. hcalory had no support for the exhaust however and i'm having to fab up my own super jenky on that piece

I ordered one yesterday off Amazon. I'm hoping to "install" on a tire step; but I'm thinking it might be wider than the actual step (10" box vs 7" step). I want it off the ground for my van; but want it to remain portable. I don't camp in too cold a climate; but when I do, I'm off grid at elevation - so, I like how this controller will adapt (supposedly). I will figure out a cap/cover to protect the top from moisture (rain/snow)

got one, it wont fit on the step without some mods, little feet on the bottom so maybe build a bigger tray for it>? the alt readout somehow knew the alt i was at pretty accurately, no idea how it works.

@@daltonsband yes on fitment; I had an old mountain bike handlebar that I used as a backstop on the step. Then used a bungee cord to keep the unit in place. Just got the fuel filter on and wrapped the bottom exhaust with heat tape. About to fire it up now

I wouldnt trust where the controller is housed but you could seal it up with some ingenuity

I'm considering using one of these to heat the cab of my Toyota Tacoma because my heater has gone out. I'm going to route the exhaust down near the tailgate and run the unit from my cigarette lighter. If I put this in the bed of my truck, will it survive the being out in the weather?

Dose the fuel pump make that ticking noise like older models? And can you fire up heater using the 12v 10a cigarette output even though it draws around 12amps. Is there away around this?

Nice. Can you transport this inside your car with fuel in the tank? Does it vent?

yeah its not a completely sealed cap, so you wouldnt want to tip it over. Honestly for a short trip youre probably fine keeping it inside.

Buyer beware with this company. I bought this heater and they sent me one without the fuel cap. I been trying to get them to send me one and all I get is a run around with them asking for more pictures and videos of what the problem is. i know, a fuel cap seems like a minor thing, but try and find one. Extremely poor customer support. Chinese boat anchor is what I have!

This one is metal. And there’s a lot of changes that are different from your standard shop diesel heater that make it more difficult to use when camping. But thanks for your comment I guess? 😂
